Protest for HL3?

Half-Life 3:

The page does say this:

“Will it work? Probably not. But hey, any excuse to play through Half-Life 2 again is a good excuse!”

They know it won’t work – they just like to get the attention from Valve and to remind them that we are really craving Half Life right now.

Obviously they know the scheme wont work. I’m going to take part simply because I love Half Life 2 and have nothing better to do this week.

Pfffttt…
Going to go play Cinematic Mod, with nayked Alyx.

Trolololololol.

Sounds like a good day. I mean it won’t accomplish shit, but it’s cool. Hell, I’d get together with friends and turn it into a race.

That sounds like a fantastic idea! We should all start from Point Insertion and record the game as we go.

Check. Mate.

For the shits and giggles, I’m in. I’m gonna do the smart thing and load custom maps.

You pathetic proud faggots, we all know you secretly want this to work

DAMN IT

Would I like if Valve spilled the beans about EP3/HL3 right about now? Very much so, yes.

Do they have to? No, not at all.

Do I feel like protesting for it? Bitch, fuck you, it’s just a game.

Like this is going to change anything…

Dude, any excuse to play Half Life 2 is a good excuse, even if it doesn’t change shit.

I love how so many people are pointing out that this isn’t going to change anything.
If the two paragraph article is too long to read, I’ll sum it up.

“30,000 People are going to play Half-Life 2 as a protest against Half-Life 3… Will it work? Probably not. But hey, any excuse to play through Half-Life 2 again is a good excuse!”

Now why point out the obvious and say something like it won’t work/help/change anything etc.

Are we now protesting against HL3?

30000…I read somewhere that HL2 sold around 12-13 MILLION copies. I’m a member of that group but it’s not fucking going to make any difference at all, seriously.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeyit. I play HL2 anyway erry morning. These fuckers act like, ‘D’OH I gotta get this dinosaur out again’ man fuck you all.

You’re just mad cause it isn’t going to work.

Which it’s not, by the way. This little protest isn’t going to change anything, in case you didn’t know.

I don’t know whom you referring as a bitch, but hey, nobody is forcing you to do that right? Is that group is really but-hurting you that much? I’m sorry, I just don’t get such a hate.

I’m simply referring to how seriously people take bullshit like this. Videogames are just a nice but unimportant activity like watching movies or listening to music. Why must they feel like they have to do something when a game is apparently taking too long to make or a developer doesn’t say anything about it, specially when they don’t have it pre-ordered or promised to them?

I understand the group’s motives and all but they are working under the assumption that doing something like this will net them internet points or something like that.

Even if Valve ends up giving them a bone, which I doubt, it will still be a small victory over something that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

You can make that argument for just about anything, though. Maybe it’s best to just let the kids have their fun. Stops them from fucking up something more important.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
