Project Natal

I did make some points, but you seem to blind to mine and everyone else’s, so I’ll leave it there. The Sony glowsticks are a basic copy of the Wiimote: a camera that tracks two light sources. I can’t remember if it detects distance or not. Natal is amazing because it tracks the whole body: all four limbs, and the face. And, like I said, it’s probable that it could track finger movements.

Apart from the finger movements, it’s all been demonstrated.

It can and has been shown to detect facial expression, I believe.

Unless you’re really ugly, in which case you get an instant RRoD and loss of warranty.

Indeed it has. As can be seen in the Milo and Kate demo, it can recognize voice and facial expression patterns for different emotions, though I’m still trying to figure out if it was scripted or not. But it’s Peter Molyneux, he wouldn’t lie to his, would he?

Technology for the sake of technology - I don’t think I’m falling for that. Even if Natal release proves me wrong and Natal works as it was told us to work - I still cannot see how it is going to be interpreted for something other than casual stuff we already saw.
Seeing how MS is positioning Natal as a Wiimote killer, chances we get beyond dodgeball and Racing stuff are pretty low.

Except for the fact that Sony (in opposite to nintendo) showed us that with provided precision it CAN be used on something far more interesting than some Rayman bullshit. They took a greatly different approach using the same technology, that what makes them stand out and more appealing to me.

It does, and does it quite well. Watch the bit where he is in FPS mode.

Ultimate test for Natal.

Natal might have some issues.

Level, I wonder if you have your head upside down IRL?

Damn I was wondering the same thing, that way it would make sense for him to post like that…

I lol’d, and very heartily. Then I remembered Fable 2 and got depressed.

They based Jake Tucker of Family Guy after me.

I think you misunderstand what I meant by the word approach.
it’s not about how it operates, sure it’s identical.
The thing sony showed us the new ways to utilize the input. I hate the “term” hardcore, but it’s suitable here.
While Wii performs only on casual arena, and MS now are trying to beat them.

xD

that explains a lot and clears up the whole picture.

I just watched the “Milo” thing. It’s gotta’ be scripted. When it comes out, it’ll probably only respond to a certain words or phrases…
So if you say" Hey, your a faggot pussy! How does it feel to be Microsoft’s little whore?!", then he’ll probably say “I’m sorry, I don’t understand you. Please say something else.”

But if it isn’t bs, then I going to have so much fun making this kid my bitch!

What I want to know is if project natal can track penis movement

i suspect what to really want to know if it tracks anus movement :-?

^hahahahaha so funny roflmao /sarcasm
please stop the faggotry before it starts

I lol’d and I don’t mean the fake kind of lol that people use when they are trying to be nice on the interwebz.

Same.

FTW.
On topic: I got completely sick of reading rants from ODB and people replying at page 4, so forgive me if I missed something important.

First, ODB, you are a Sony fanboy.
Second, I am a Microsoft fanboy.
I don’t really care about controllerless games and getting more interactive, instead of pretending to do something I’ll just go out and do it. As for sony’s dildo, it’s the same as the wii except it looks a lot gayer. The one thing it has over the wii is much better graphics capabilities and less casual cartoony crap.

What I would really be interested in is a console that would do the same thing as natal, except add in senses so you could actually feel, touch, smell and taste (Food Hero/BJ hero) the virtual environment. Of course that’s a very very long way off, so until then I’ll just keep my mouse and keyboard.

An honest lol. I miss those.

lol.
