Killzone in PCSX2, 3840x2160 internal res.

Ooo! You fixed the post-processing?

Sort of - I think it might be missing whatever effect was supposed to be there (most likely some sort of bloom? I’ll have to run it on my PS2 and see what it’s meant to look like :stuck_out_tongue: ), but at least those lines are gone

What I did to fix it was check ‘Enable HW Hacks’ in the GSdx plugin settings, then set ‘Skipdraw’ to 2 (under the ‘Configure…’ button).
I’ve got GSdx set to Direct3D11 (Hardware) mode. Software mode doesn’t have the glitch at all but it crashes less than two minutes after entering gameplay.
What my GSdx settings look like.

The rest of PCSX2 is on default settings, speedhacks disabled.

In-game I’m using NTSC display mode (up to 60fps in-game and the lower native resolution compared to PAL doesn’t matter with GSdx Hardware mode) with widescreen enabled.

Heh, did you raise the punch strength? I did that once and then played the tank level. Punched one of the tanks all the way across the map.

A little different, a long time ago I edited one of the lua files (actor.lua maybe?) to increase strength punch force because the 1.2 patch made it so the console command no longer effected ragdolls - so now everything goes a little farther.

A small glitchy side effect though, is rarely something happens with the physics and your punch becomes super powered which produces some amusing results like the above gif.

I wish all of the links to the blood particle mods weren’t dead. There was a nice one I used to use that’s no longer available

I still have the xtreme fx mod though

uh oh

everything went better than expected

Just deathrun_black_mesa that I have finished.

A release you say?

No idea, maybe the next few days.

Very nice! Wish the support struts had a bit more volume to them instead of just using the “truss” texture. (I used to do that too, but building the truss manually can look a lot better)

maybe some cool baked in lighting?

I like it! I wonder, can Source do caustics? It would be awesome to see some caustics lighting up that area.

EDIT: It can! It has to be faked, the animation would be baked, but we don’t need accurate caustics. ;D

Caustics are awesome, every game should have them.

It’s too bad they don’t show up on the viewmodel, like they do in FEAR.

I wish stock BM had some form of caustics in flooded areas.

Just getting my head lodged into the wall, splattering blood everywhere as the physics engine rapidly slamming me against the wall at about 30 times a second. Just another Friday as a soldier.

Fun

“Is that a batarang in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”

Such good graphics :jizz:

I’m going thru Asylum and can’t get over how fucking big the skulls are in that batcave entrance area

Second play-through. Still fantastic.

EDIT: at night:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
