I think the biggest mistake people make when they model their residences or other real life locations in FPS maps is that they overestimate the size of these locations. I’ve seen houses with living rooms 100 feet long with 30 foot ceilings and 25-foot tall doors.
Interiors such as houses would not be a very big map at all. Just something to keep in mind whilst you’re mapping.
I actually accurately modeled my house in a Quake map once, and it was waay to small for any kind of actual gameplay.
But that’s also Quake so

Maybe it’s using FXAA (or some other type of shader-based AA) and it isn’t being captured properly by whatever method you’re using to take screenshots?
I’m using Steam to capture screenshots, so I dunno. I’ll try using fraps sometime.
It’s funny, I made my grandparent’s house (which is a comfortably large house) in the sims 2 once as close to scale as possible, and it ended up being this dinky little thing. I realized that all of those dream houses a person makes with cheats would just be obnoxiously huge, well furnished warehouses.
When I was a kid, all I wanted was big houses. I made a house so big once, without cheating, that I was only able to make one bathroom - and the distance from the upstairs bedroom to the bedroom was so large that if they were upstairs they would end up going on the floor.
That, and forcing one of my sims to swim while sleepy until they drowned are my main memories of the first game.

You have no idea how happy that makes me. I was actually thinking sometimes they are a bit too easy to identify (people might disagree with me on this, but I like enemies that are difficult to kill)
At the time, I was preparing to take another screenshot so I already had my hand on the key. After I turned, pressing it was kind of just a reflex from getting shocked.
