Found mine the other day, it’s pretty fucking amazing. One of the few bad things about Steam is the lack of a physical box/manual.

The worst thing about the Steam version is that you can’t instal freaking mods on it. Sucks balls.

AMD Athlon 3800+ (2.4 Ghz)
1 GB RAM (Probably gonna max it out at 4 soon)
Onboard sound (Bleh. First priority is to get an actual sound card)
320 GB Western Digital hard drive of some sort (it’s a friend’s old computer)
NVidia GeForce 7300 LE (Getting a 7600 GT in a few days.)
Not the best computer in the world, but to those who I’ve told my computer specs to, this is an unbelieveably immense improvement.
That is probably the shittiest PC you can get anywhere. I hope you got that thing for free.
I got rid of two exactly like this one for 50 bucks each.

I did get it for free, actually.
And it’s still roughly 3 times faster than what I had before.
I had a Pentium 3 with 512 MB of RAM and a GeForce 5200 FX.
That’s pretty good then.
You should tell your friend to give you the original keyboard from that PC, I kept one and I love it.
I’m going to hazard a guess that he got it from the rents. Could be completely wrong.
He got the computer from his mom a few years back, he’s getting a Mac Mini and dual-booting XP or 7 off of it.
He didn’t have the keyboard, he had some Logitech keyboard that was actually pretty fucking sweet with a built in clock, but it died on him. Shame, really. He has his laptop, though.

The only real criticism I have for it so far is the Hard Drive is fucking loud as hell when it starts spinning; any other time when the computer’s just idling, you can’t tell it’s on.
Damn, you got the good kind of those compaq’s. If you saw my post, I got the sucky presario. I had to spend roughly $170 upgrading it.
When i first got it, it only had 1 cd drive, 256mb RAM, 80GB HDD. I got a dvd drive (+$40), an 512MB stick (+$30, i belive) and 2 of my hard drives blew out of me. That 80GB one died, I spent $70 for a 160GB…that one died also. I got a 250GB SE hard drive replaced from Western digital (thank god for warranties).
