Post a Soup Recipe

Hi, I’m making this thread so people can share soup recipes with each other. I’ll start.

Hippocrates Soup:

Equipment
Use 4-quart stainless steel pot

Cover with R.O. or Ozonated water.

2 medium onions
1 pound of potatoes
a hand full of parsley

Directions

  1. Do not peel any of these special soup vegetables (except the onions)
  2. Wash and scrub them well
  3. Cut them finely
  4. place vegetables in pot and cover with water.
  5. Bring to a boil then simmer slowly for 2 hours

Serves 15 portions.

woah I never thought of actually making soup.

First, you have to kill Soup. Then, remove his head and de-bone him. After that, marinate him in balk maes sauce and vodka for about 24 hours, dip in pancake batter, then grill him up for about 10 to 20 minutes (depending which part you are grilling  ), and serve with alfalfa and mozzarella sticks.

Then boil. Enjoy

Ramen noodles is the best kind of soup.

Cheesy Brat Stew

4-8 potatoes pealed and cubed (The more the better)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups frozen green beens
2 packages johnsonville cheddar brats (yes… 12 weenies!) cut to bite size pieces
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon of dried minced onion (optional)

Water

  1. Put cubed potatoes in a large pot and fill with water till the potatoes are just covered in water. Boil the potatoes until they are almost done.
  2. Lower the heat by half and add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Stir frequently as it will try to stick to the bottom of the pot.
  4. If you like a thick stew, add mash potato flakes or mash up some of the potatoes in the pot.

i cant even imagine what a cheesy brat is

  2. Just before you are ready to serve, take out the chicken breast and shred then place back into the soup.

  3. Use garnishes such as tortilla chips, salsa, avacado, cheese, sour cream, lime. We just let each person put whatever they choose into their soup.

CatzEyes93 wins this thread. Those sound SOO good. I have all the ingredients for both of those in my kitchen right now too. mmm…

Going to go try these now. Thanks!

Cheesy brat stew is always ALWAYS always a winner with family and potlucks. And it is SO SO SO easy.

Is there anything I can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with? The rest of the recipe sounds delish.

What other “cream of…” soup do you have? I have used cream of celery, cream of chicken and one other that doesnt come to mind.

I don’t have a “cream of” anything right now but I’m going to the store later tonight. I just don’t like mushrooms. I might substitute with “cream of chicken” though.

If you are going to the store, go ahead and get the cream of mushroom. I abhore (and I mean in a vomitus way) mushrooms, but in this case it works the best for the stew. Or get cream of chicken.

dammit. That’s roughly what I was going to say. :frowning:

I’m surprised Soup hasn’t posted here yet.
