Portal !

No. Valve is just releasing the E3 clips to their Youtube channel.

In portal, they always introduce new mechanics in a stress-free environment, then make you utilize it in a timed environment where screwing up is punished. This looks to be one of the later puzzles.

Love it.

Old.

for those with with no faith in the valve religion… tellme 1 time valve disapointed

Episode 2. I was disappointed in the gameplay defending the silo. It was frustrating more than fun. I see a trend.

This is epic awesomeness :awesome:
Check out the others too
Also, for people saying it’s old, Valve just uploaded the E3 clips so you don’t have to watch them with background noise and wobbly camera.

EDIT: 100th post btw

Wtf? lol

Hm, I really want to play this.

this is the thread with number ?? about portal 2 :frowning:

oh, thanks for the info, didn’t know that

I never finished portal cuz it simply got too hard for me to figure out on my own without resorting to a gameplay video.

I doubt I will be buying portal 2.

But it looks kewl.

I must admit I got stuck at the last one of the advanced maps. Major facepalm when I watched the walkthrough video of it.
I am also not too keen on valve introducing so many new gameplay elements in P2, but I’m sure they’ll make it work.

Hey, anyone know if the Excursion Funnel or the Thermal Discouragement Beam has also been introduced in any game before?

Well, reflecting lasers with mirrors is a pretty old concept.

L4D2 was a massive disappointment to many, me among them. It just had nowhere near the atmosphere that the first had.

More on topic though I am optimistic about portal 2. Despite the videos making it seem like reflexes are the key to this game I’m sure that these quick acting moments are just the culmination of much planning just like in the first.

Bear in mind that Portal 2 is going to be a full length game, rather than the cautious experiment that the original Portal was. It promises to be at least two or three times longer, so there’ll be plenty of time to introduce all of these new gameplay elements at a relaxed pace.

There are also two campaigns of equal length, so it’s packed full of sexy goodness.

L4D had atmosphere?

On topic: I agree with this guy.

But… but… Portal is easy!

Stuck in the walls and cant be bothered to attempt to get out.

Has anyone located my decayed bones yet? :chuckle:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
