Portal !

Shtuff just got real!

Adding all these new mechanics will make the game harder and I like that.

Also is there any scientific reaction for the “propulsion” lol ?

OH my… Words can’t describe the genious of Valve. PURE AWESOME!

It’s nice to see that video without background noise and people talking over it, it was nice to actually hear GlaDOS speaking.

If you’re referring to the gel mechanic, they didn’t make that. A team for a Freeware game called TAG (I think) made that gel, and was hired by VALVe to help them utilize it in Portal 2.

EDIT: :ninja:'d

haahha jinx fuckerrrr

lol

Must get this game. Should make a good practice for P2.

I think Portal 2 is pushing its complexity beyond enjoyable fun into the realm of frustrating ridiculousness. I’m not hyped for this game.

It looks complicated in the videos, but it was the same for Portal 1. I think they said the single player is going to be a similar difficulty to the original.

They wouldn’t make a game that is too hard, that would be a real stupid move for a developer as big and popular as valve. I mean why would anybody make a game that is too hard for beginners and casual gamers?

Yea. I have to say though it does look fairly difficult with all of these new conditions.

Your sig is awesome by the way.

Why? Nothing shown has looked impossibly hard.

tag is free on the digipen website. been playing it all month.

lol udumb

Whether that’s true or not, it doesn’t look all that complicated. I think it will be about the same, (if not a little more,) difficult than Portal 1.

Well there’s a rumour that they have affectively finished the game, their planning to spend the next 6 months play-testing the new puzzles.

Am I the only one who has seen the video already?

What I don’t like about this “complexity” is that indeed, it isn’t complex at all, but from the video it relies on perfect timing, which is just dumb.

I’d rather they challenge intellect than reflexes. There are dozens of stupid shooters that require wired reflexes already.

Hope it’s just the video.

@vivanto

Your watching a guy who knows exactly wat to do in that video, im sure the situation probly would have required some thought if he didnt already know exactly how to solve the puzzle

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
