Portal is free

Too bad you guys already have it.

Valve, I love you.

That’s pretty awesome. Now for them to call their Viral Marketing Squad to get the word out to the few people who don’t own it.

What’s especially awesome is that theoretically, if everyone on earth took notice of this before May 24th, anyone could play Black Mesa. (Orange Box SDK Base ftw)

damn, a forthcoming Team Fortress 2 Class update announcement, CSS update Beta, and now this? Wow, the team at Valve Sure are getting their collective asses in gear for something.

will the people who download it now still be able to play it after may 24th?

Finally.

EDIT: This game hurts my brain.

I already play it on my Mac

Bad thing is that i already owned it, but whatever. Mac!

Portal 2 release soon? or even Episode Three?

oh my FSM! :awesome:

Maybe VALVe is preparing to announce Portal 3: The Sequel that skipped the 2:nd game.

i have to say it again. world war five.

Make new steam accounts for the offers.
I already have two extra steam accounts with HLDM, and now Portal.
And apparently, with source SDK ;D.

why?

I obviously already own Portal, but this still makes me happy.

Also, new video:

Yes.

i played it on the 360 before but :retard: excelent news, now i can play portal on my pc ,and download a shit ton of extra chambers,oh,and make a gold skin for the portal gun :retard:

Fuck.

I bought this like a month ago after hearing about Portal 2, and now they do this?

Will users be able to use it after the 24th? Or is it just one of those limited time things?

looks like a gift to everyone from Valve, too bad I won Portal as part of the OB in a GN (former BM host) contest…

I think it’s a pretty good marketing strategy seeing as they’re going to release portal 2 sometime this year. It’s like a giant demo for anybody who hasn’t played the first one and just heard of the second one.

I love valve.

Wow… They’re giving away what is, in my opinion, the best game they’ve ever made with no strings attached? How could you not love Valve as a game developer.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
