Portal Game becomes a REQUIRED class at college

As the title says, Portal has reached new curricular heights.

DISCUSS!

I wish my school had portal as a requirement.

In 600 years, Portal will be more remembered than Romeo and Juliet.

It’s required reading, not a class, IIRC.

semantics

That’s great, I’ve already passed the class!

(Or at least a portion of it)

Better than bloody English.

“Connect The Odyssey to The Kite Runner in a 6 paragraph essay” Why? God I hate that class.

Better- try reading “Beowulf.”

Most boring thing since “The Constant Gardener.”

I suddenly thought of GlaDOS speaking in Shakespearian tone.

I hate them maths, I always fail at them… but I would pass Portal or any other gaming class for sure

Damn I would even start playing RTS games if they gave me points.

Poor bastards, i never want to play that game again.

I about committed suicide after the twentieth time I read about the young dawn’s rosy fingers. I KNOW ALREADY I GET IT USE ANOTHER ANALOGY :fffuuu:

I’ll probably play it a few more times in my lifetime, but I didn’t orgasm over it like the entirety of the internet did when it first came out. It’s an interesting story with very few puzzles that actually make you think and a decently fancy teleportation gimmick. Nowhere near the “greatness” of some old-ass boring poetry that has withstood the test of time. I doubt that in even 30 years Portal will be anything special.

^this basically.
And like everyone had not played this shit beforehand…

I get to later this year.

The game is awesome because it’s different to other games and not like 90% of the shit that comes out nowadays

I’m a bit surprised; what if some class members don’t actually play video games? I actually personally know some people who simply could not even get used to moving around with WASD and the mouse. And heck; what if adults are in the class? (If you forget, some people actually decide to take college much later in life)

They can learn. My fear is that is will be analyzed like other literature in class and completely ruined.

^this. Its like when they added Ender’s Game to our curriculum. I envy the freshmen who get to read it, but anything you are required to do is never nearly as fun.
