Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC Live!

Weeeeeeee.

Can’t wait to get started with this!

My First Go!

Damn, that thing’s addictive.

Post yours, so we can all have a go!

It broke my everything. Nether the in-game editor nor hammer will compile maps.

^ Good thing I uninstalled P2 right after finishing it months ago. Hammer’s been fucked up enough.

edit: lol turns out my chamber was way worse than I anticipated.

I really wish that this was released on Xbox 360, that’s what I have Portal 2 on. :frowning:

^ lrn 2 pc

It’s funny because if you had bought it for PC you would be able to use this, and if you bought it for PS3 you also would have been able to use this since you would have gotten a PC copy for free. Suks2BU.

Oh goodness now I’ve got that testing itch Wheatley was talking about. :fffuuu:

Has anyone noticed the new player model?

When I first played a map it was Chell but then it changed into that dude.

I haven’t really had much of a chance to check it out yet. But it sounds like fun. Will you be able to do co-op on any of these?

Only SP maps atm.

Man this thing is awesome! Here’s my first lame attempt.

Good thing for all of you, you portal addicts.

I subscribed to yours. I’m sure your “lame” attempt will be awesome compared to anything I could do.

welp, here’s my go tada! nothing too complicated puzzle wise

Looks really really cool, but I don’t see it being too worthwhile until co-op support is added. Then I will jizz in my pants. Custom content support has always been a brilliant way to add lasting appeal to a game and I’ve always loved that Valve recognizes that and takes full advantage of it. I hope custom content will some day bring an end to the disgusting money grab that is map packs as payed DLC.

It’d be awesome if a competitive shooter with custom content had a system where the most popular and highly rated of all the community made maps became official content of the game and acted just like official DLC so that everyone with the feature enabled automatically had and played the best maps. Valve should have integrated that feature in CS:GO, but then again with a game as competitive as that community content might not meet its standards of quality.

Perhaps this is the stuff they’ve been trying to make to replace the Source SDK. I remember Gabe talking a lot about how much they hate the old toolset and wanted to really improve the tools.

I’m trying to upload my two small test chambers and download your guys’ maps too, but there is a network error atm. :frowning:

I am sad panda.

Here is my first one, it should be pretty simple. I’ll try and get the second up and running, but first I’m trying the other ones posted.

Here is the second, should be a little harder than the first, but nothing special I think. Should be bug/exploit free.

So far I’ve played Garcian and Fridge’s tests. Pretty fun! Fridge, that speed test is murder though.

EDIT:EDIT:EDIT: Just played Rosie’s. Really nice map, I like the extra details.
