In a new press release Valve has announced that Portal 2 has been pushed back until a 2011 release date, and the E3 surprise is pertaining to Portal 2.

Wait, they are saying that the Universe would explode if they ever actually hit a release date, and thus they are delaying it to save the world? Wow, that’s a pretty bold excuse. Crappy excuse, but bold nonetheless.

They seem to be pretty adamant that they are doing this just to make it better. hmmm…

I think they are going to announce Source Engine 2 and port Portal 2 to it. But for their sakes, Source Engine 2 had better be Cryengine 3 on steroids!

They only decided on Portal 2 a year and a half ago, when we’ve been waiting god knows how long for Ep3.

There’s a reason Gabe is not going to be present… He knew he had to go into protective custody when people found out that they weren’t going to get Portal 2 or Episode 3. In the future, all of gabe’s future public appearances will be behind 6 inches of bullet proof glass on his new pope-mobile.

Okay first of all: You don’t tell me what I can or can’t do.

Second of all: Yes it should, considering we’ve been waiting for years now and episodes were supposed to be coming out quicker than full games it actually should. Instead, they release sequels of other games and show them at E3, while it should be Ep3 and not sequels for god knows how many games.

dear god i hope not, did you see the screens ? The engine still looks liek crap, if its all source engine 2 is capable of, then damn, meyeb its time for valve to pay crytec to make an engine for them ?

And on teh news note, wwhat the fuck man ? We wont get ep3, so no hl3 for liek 10 more years, and now we wont even get portal 2, next the gonna say they taking out gordon freeman out of halkf life ?

I think he’s talking about the screens of Portal 2, which uses Source Engine 1, so he’s either mistaken or talking about something different.
