…No, not really. I’ve heard the last line before.

An actual release date? I’m detecting a 78% chance Valve isn’t gonna get it done on time. Just an estimate.
They already delayed it once to avoid a rip in Valve-time. I doubt they’d set another one only to delay it again.
But who knows?
Whetley’s role seems suspiciously exactly like Guiltyspark on the library levels from Halo CE when getting the icon.
That made absolutely no sense, Xilef.
But not really
I hardly see a connection there.
Circular guide that you have to follow through the level with a curious personality and strong comic undertones.
Looks like the BMS’ers have been Halo hatin’ a little too much here.
Honestly, he wasn’t so much guiding as providing light and comic relief. It’s not much of a connection at all.
Edit: Now I want to buy Halo, and I probably will end up doing so. Thanks a lot, xilef.
Don’t worry, Halo 1 is very good, it’s the sequels that suck ass. Don’t tell the other BMS users though, they don’t even know the first game exists, thinks it started at Halo 2.
Now about Portal 2, GLaDOS kind of isn’t funny yet. Does she get funny by interacting with the other characters around the player, or will the Portal team dodge the bullet and make her only address Chell about her killing GLaDOS?
I have to say I’m glad they actually got a proper voice actor for Wheatley rather than one of the devs. I’m surprised so many people liked the stand-in guy as his dialogue was so forced at times. Maybe it’s the unfamiliarity with the accent. The overacting would have broken the game for me during his scenes.
“You Did WHAT???///!!!111!!!” :fffuuu:
This guy is sure going to make the inevitable euthanization scene painful :’(
Edit: Oh wow, I knew i recognised that voice. It’s only Steven Bleeding Merchant
^ This.
Also, Wheatley’s dynamic flashlight makes me think that there may be some puzzles that require redirecting light through Portals. That’d be quite an interesting mechanic.
Am I the only one who has stopped watching Portal 2 videos because I know the game will be incredible, and don’t want it spoiled?
That looks nothing like Portal 1. It’s crazy.
I did like Portal 1’s “facility gone dead” feel, there’s so much motion and crazy shit going on that it seems weird that it’s even livelier now, even though it’s all overgrown and rusted and shit.
You’re seeing more of the “behind the scenes” sections of Aperture Science than you had in the previous game. GLaDOS is rebuilding the facility after being started up again, so everything is very active.
Oh. Cool. Good for her!
Halo 1 sucked ass.
I dunno, the only thing I heard from Portal 2’s GLaDOS was pretty funny. “We can put our differences behind us. For Science. You monster.”
I’m not sure about the Wheatley character. From the previews I saw, the humor seems a bit…forced?
THIS. I am FORCIBLY REMOVING MYSELF FROM THE THREAD.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
