You can do a lot of creative things with breaching rooms that have Combine soldiers in them.

Actually, the trick is not to breach the room. You can use barrels and crates to make yourself cover, and you can set oxygen tanks or gas containers next to the doorway to shoot and cause a soldier or two to burst into flames.

Get close and in cover with the shotgun, throw a grenade through the door, maybe one dies, they all come out, shoot the propane tank to catch one on fire and block up the door, shoot them as they come through.

Aim for the head - but the goofy-ass FIRE BOTH “BARRELS” thing does help, I’ll admit.

Hey guys, I am trying to complete HL on 1hp, but I need to have at least some of hev suit power, because there is one freeze room(somewhere after you get first crossbow), (a scientist is before it and in that room there are some vorts and few headcrabs), but creatures wouldnt be problem, but that freezing is problem…so I had 1hp, but Ihad to use at least 10 (?) of hev suit power
Or is there any option how to stop freezing in that room?

That freezing room only drains your H.E.V. suit’s power, not your health.

I dont get this kinda actions … the whole purpose of a game is to have fun. And you get an award by doing things in the form of an achievement. if there is no achievement to be earned in a certain action… why would you do it … it will certainly not improve the fun-ness of the game and you will not get any street rep or what so ever.
i have done the leprechaun achievement… although it is set in stone on my steam profile it is more an award of to much time on your hand.

Seriously? You don’t want to do something because it doesn’t have an achievement for it? Hey, there are no achievements for speed running Half-Life but people still do it, right? “The whole purpose of a game is to have fun.” Well, doing something like that is a challenge and it makes the game worth another play through.

I completed the whole game maybe…tens of times…and its not fun doing still something again and again…and its challenge for me

This is one of the things wrong with people that play games today. “Why would you do something in a game that doesn’t give you an achievement?”

YouTube is pretty good about converting stuff into a format it can play. If you don’t convert it, it will take a lot longer to upload, though. I’ve been using mpeg4 H264(not completely sure, but it’s got a similar name to that, I haven’t recorded anything in a while) and it’s been working. I don’t know if it’s the best, but it’s a good mix of filesize and quality. A few of my friends use Handbrake to convert videos, but that’s all it does. You can’t stitch videos together with it.

Edit: I tryed it , and it takes 10hp but for long time, so its possible to go throught entire game only on 1HP (I used some HEV power to cross this room before)
