in ep 3 after you manage to destroy borealis, you get a message saying that the borealis was a trap. the combine have managed to gather together every force on earth and are attac king your possition. you walk over a hill and the second you see the other side, you se a huge army of combine ships and synths approaching. you take a flaregun and shoots it up in the air and a huge army of humans come from behind and a masive battle takes place with gordon having a new kind of gravity gun that is more powerfull XD

its a meh idea, but a gun fight with just rows of people being forced to charge into the bullets of their enemies becuase the back keeps pushing seems kinda…amateur.
Throw a couple grenades in the bunch, a few RPG shots, throw them some explosive barrels…
and you’re done 
i actualy think that valve are gonna do a masive combine vs humans battle scene sisnce until now, it hasn’t realy looked much like a war. to few combines being sen’t against you. when you are possibly the only human the combine fear, it’s kind of strange that in hl2æs massive war, you don’t get comfronted by more

ik. only that an alien war against an alien race that has taken over most likely houndreds of planets is looking strange when the aliens sends out so few soldiers and not even one of those huge ships seen in the newspapers in hl2
i think that would be an epic idea you and alyx and kliener(sorry for mis-spell) all just gather all humans and all the combines just come together and unleash hell .But not many striders, that last part of the game pissed me off so bad it was unbeliveble when alyx says to you “whilst you were having fun out there” its a good thing that was the end because i used all my ammo on every gun on her i was so pissed off it took me about a week to work out a stratigy and then another 3 days to acctually pull it off 
but yeh not many striders .

[COLOR=‘Blue’]AT THE OP : I kinda like this idea. I mean i really loved the action packed strider battle at the end of EP2, although the second time i played it, it got over too soon and i realised that it could have done with a lot more action and a lot more striders, hunters and maybe even some gunships and elite combine. In the dev commentary they say that they had put in the elite combine in the battle but removed them when they found that the playtesters were finding it too difficult. They really shouldn’t have done that. 
Anyway…

Although, it would be great to see a LOT more new synths and combine soldiers of the other 1001 species that they have supposedly enslaved.
