wait, but then adrian sheperd appears along with all of race x and adrian sheperd yells “get them” and then race x attack the combines and the combines and race x are fighting and the rebels and xens are fighting and the gordan freemans are fighting and then gman appears just as they all are about to lose and says "well done freeman"and then gordan freeman dissapears and then you play as adrian sheperd and then the combies start winning and killing all of race x and just as the combies are about to kill adrian sheperd barney appears and kills them with a beer bottle.
I’d buy any game with an ending like that.

Seems like another one of those lazy Call of Duty ideas.
I like the fact that all of the fights were more guerilla like, instead of sitting in a trench for three hours shooting at enemy soldiers that spawn for three hours.

I really like the idea of a sort of, epic battle sideshow, but not to MAKE you watch it. More like the Call of Duty 2 style, with it going on in the background in the distance.
[Slightly Off-Topic] It seems that VALVe made Episode 2 have much more defined difficulty settings, as opposed to HL2 being retardedly easy (yes, I said easy, if you found it hard you’ve never played HL1 on hard)
hl1 on hard was brutal. hl2 on hard is like hl1 on easy XD.
smod on the othe side… it would be cool if one part of the battle were in the real map and annother part was with skybox props and npcs so the battle can be larger XD

Dog should have a epic death sequence during the battle.
Don’t get me wrong I love Dog, but he’s a character that should be killed off.
Personally, I think VALVe really fucked up the Half-Life Universe in HL2 by making it a bastard mix of Terminator and Star Wars. The only way to make it worse would be by adding said generic epic battle that would end up being a total shit fest. On the topic of huge armies of humans, you have to realize that there is no army and practically 80% of the population is dead.
