I saw a little irony there with brickbait… I almost laughed.
IMO, you should be able to ‘pick up’ all ragdolls, if only to drag them or lift a limb depending on the bone mass and the mass of the entire ragdoll. This is, however news to me as well.
It would love such a system, but it’s most likely not going to happen. Being able to drag objects that are too heavy to physically carry would be nice, too.
Feel free to crush me hopes by saying that it will be in the game, though, devs.
Why not: “You have a lot of weapons, no ammo… and a screwdriver!” weapon parts throwing system?
I would like to pickup a Headcrab and trown to a soldier
holy necropost batman
As far as I know you’ll be able to pick up dead headcrabs and throw them.
I know for sure you can pick up dead threads if that’s of any help…
Crowbar swings launching crates?
Lets treat T as a linear transformation known as valve time to some time ‘t’.
T(t) = Valve time of ‘t’ = At
so T(4) = Valve time of 4 = At
So the question remains…what is the valve time transformation matrix known as A?
I am pretty sure it’s damn near impossible to find a function that would work for all the known values. (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time)
T(t) = random( t / ln(2) )
Damn sure.
In the beginning of HL2, when on the rooftops of the apartments, you could pick up objects and throw them at the city scanners to damage them. I have destroyed many a scanner this way. So throwing objects should be able to damage small enemies, right?
I do think though that some things should do a considerable amount of damage when thrown…
I mean, bricks and shit like that at least.
This would really only be used if you ran out of ammo or something, and we’ve got a crowbar for that. The only way I’d see Gordon just throwing stuff at enemies would be purely as a distraction, but he doesn’t need distractions, he IS the distraction. He’s nearly invincible and has a small arsenal hitched on his suit…or up his ass. Wherever he stores his weapons.
I don’t think you guys see the true potential of this thing: throw-only run of BM.
Awesome.
Yeah the devs are gonna jump all over that.
I don’t remember the conclusion of this thread. Will it be added?
Of course no. It makes too much sense.
I mean bricks hurt you stupid assholes. Shovels too.
I’m sure a skull with a brain in it isn’t too light either, and wouldn’t feel good at all being pitched straight at your face.
