Since they’re using HL2’s pickup system, the best way to kill someone with a thrown object is if it’s the grenade they just threw at you.
Unless there’s an easter egg with a teacup that instantly kills whoever it hits…

You won’t be able to pick up thrown grenades, unfortunately.
Dammit! I was hoping you could. Oh well…
I just had a thought: if you can pick up and throw every prop in the whole game, with a view model and it can kill a npc…
Does that mean you can kill every scientist in black mesa, before the incident?
No you can’t because the props won’t damage them.
I just missed the point… how can any weapon in the game damage a scientist, but when you get a “Pick-up-and-throw combat system” that suddenly can’t?
Don’t take this personally, but …are you actually this dense or are you just pretending? :brow:
I used the word “if”, also I guess the whole suggestion will not come to life in the mod so… what am I still doing here…?
[COLOR=‘Red’]So long, suckers!
There is no pick up and throw combat system.
You can pick shit up and throw it, but that won’t do jack in combat.
Again, missed the “if” in the previous post!
The same way it worked in HL2. Honestly, if you throw a dumpster at a metrocop before the teleport accident, it just bounces off of them.
i think pick-up-and trow would only be good against small things like headcrabs or snarks
Because there isn’t a pick-up and throw combat system :hmph: Pay attention. You can pick stuff up. You can throw stuff away. Just like in HL2, but a bit further. That is all.
You can pick up and throw the headcrabs and snarks themselves, though.
hah, your joking, right?
You can throw snarks if you pick up the ammo. I came up with the idea of picking up & throwing headcrabs quite some time ago, but I highly doubt that will be put into the game.
Raminator stated that the player will be able to pick up dead headcrabs and throw them.
Oh right, the dead ones. I forgot about that.
That is news to me.
It is true, dead headcrabs are treated like any other physical object. Ram did state such but I am too lazy to find it, its probably in this thread though.
