You could kill that one with the air bombings. The one in Xen doesn’t need to be killed at all.
So there’s only the possibility of running away from it or kill it with your own weapons (which I always do with the Gluon gun).
Yes, in Half-Life. Who know how you’ll be able to kill it in Black Mesa.
Things can’t be done like that. I can say that other monsters also don’t need to be killed. That’s bullshit!
What? No, you were supposed to run away from that Gargantua. The level was set up that way.
Strange Seems like i always play my way
You may be thinking of the Gonarch. I believe all gargs in HL were intended to be destroyed.
Bottom line is, in HL you could destroy the gargs with environment/scripted events OR with your arsenal. In BM, you arsenal is ineffective. Case closed.
Wat? The last garg was meant to be ran away from. The Gonarch is the one you must kill.
I agree on that last sentence though.
I am not thinking of the Gonarch. Regardless of whether or not you could kill it with your arsenal, it seemed quite clear to me because of the way the area was designed that you were supposed to evade that Gargantua.
I always killed it. Either with explosives, uranium weapons, or tricking it into something. Had they not intended for you to be able to kill that, or any garg, than they wouldn’t have made it vulnerable to those weapons.
But seeing as how the BM devs are making it invincible, I suggest my scripted sequence idea for the players who thought to lure it that far.
You should be able to lure the garg into the void on Xen, tbh.
Yea, i do not remember the last garg so you could be 100% correct. Perhaps I am confused with Gordon running from the gonarch through some tunnels…its been a long time since Ive played xen.
I will say it again tho, just to prevent retarded questions, BM gargs will only die from the environment.
Gargs being invictible is retarded
invictible? :3
Anyway, that’s how it is, deal with it.
How? Isn’t this the same game big headed aliens can float and fire energy balls? Isn’t this the same game those Gargs can create energy by stomping on the ground?
I think it’s good that the Gargantua can’t be killed with normal weapons. It’s not too boring if you have to kill it somehow using the environment.
It also makes perfect sense… Do you really think your puny arsenal would even dent that tough alien armour? This is a creature that could take your MP5, screw it into a ball and throw it at you.
…if it had thumbs.
…or any kind of fingers for that matter.
On topic: IMO if the garg was made killable with weapons it should take about every single unit of ammo you can carry to make it dead. And since nobody is gonna have that much ammo I’m perfectly fine with killing it some other way.
At least it could make pancakes of the HEV suit.
So then what are those things down by it’s crotch?
