PC vs Consoles thread

@ Maxey, you cannot type in games on consoles.

lol, I got it the moment I read it, it’s just that it was the wrong way to describe it.

uhm,

God fucking damn it. There are about 50 billion threads about this same worthless topic.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to playing Mass Effect 2 on my PC, Bioshock 2 on my 360, and Heavy Rain on my PS3. Piss off.

Yes they are. Why can’t we all be more like this one right here?

More like this

but Hercule’s is alright. You can’t quick chat with it though, it’s more like an email system.

You realize he meant that as a joke to all the hardcore fanboy retards such as yourself, right?

Oh god not another one of these topics.

It is now up to you to live up to your BMSForums title and do what must need to be done and face FULL LIFE CONSEQUENCES!

…or just lock it.

that wasn’t necessary.

Consoles are good single-purpose machines if all you want to do is to play video games. Once you start adding computer-like components (keyboards, etc), you are trying to add a sidecar to a Harley. Sure, it’ll work and possibly work quite well, but that’s not what the console is really made to do: Play video games.

Computers, on the other hand, are multi-purpose machines that can do a wide range of things, including gaming.

Consoles are cheaper than computers because they focus on the single-purpose versus the multipurpose.

:hmph:

@john you realize that was a joke right?

@daniel but even though consoles focus on it more, a PC can still do everything a console can do better.

This is true if you’re willing to pay for it. If you only want gaming, however, there’s no need to get a computer. If computers and consoles were the same price and could do the same thing, game-wise, then go with a computer.

The other thing consoles can do that computers can’t, game wise: Out-of-the-box playing. On a computer, you put the disc in the drive and have to install the game, possibly updating drivers and whatnot. On a console, you put the disc in the drive and the game starts almost immediately.

Again, all things being equal, the computer is the superior machine. It’s just more complex and requires more steps to get to the awesome than a console which is a turn-off to many users (like my dad who is almost a luddite).

No argument here.

Do you really need all those keys?

Over here it’s only a $10 difference, and since MW2 came out $60 is becoming the standard price.

I lol’d.

Also, look in the “Alan Wake no longer coming to PC” thread and see how many people are saying “well, at least we still have Valve and Blizzard!” or something like that. Seriously, get an XBox or something, if only as a secondary system.

You say that as if buying one was easily affordable by anyone.

not everybody here has a daddy with lots of money to spoil them.

I agree. anyone who is a console fanboy is obviously retarded and therefore it does not need to be said as everyone knows this fact anyways. :stuck_out_tongue:

Then you probably don’t know a lot about computers.

No, I was beng serious, you have far too many buttons on a keyboard

fix’d

It sunk even before the first post was made.

They’re just $200 now, and it wasn’t a serious suggestion anyway.
Also, quit making assumptions about my life.

Did I say I was a hardcore fanboy, Buddy?
