PC vs Consoles thread

I laughed at that.

Also this discussion causes more rage than a religion vs science thread.

Wat. If you have a half-decent keyboard and can get used to the usual WASD controls, you will then be able to beat almost every person that happens to be using a controller. Assuming you don’t have arthritis or a mental disability.

It’s not an assumption. I remember you telling that in the ‘what did you get for christmas?’ thread.

Too bad, CatzEyes sanctioned this thread :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not saying I can’t, just that controllers are more ergonomic, and a keyboard has those shitty buttons that put your pc in hibernate and load up internet, it gets annoying and I have no idea how to turn them off. Also, I get distracted, so I end up using esdf instead of wasd.

I’m not your buddy, pal :stuck_out_tongue:

up = jump
down = backpedal
left = strafe left
right = strafe right
mouse2 = walk forward
mouse1 = primary fire
shift = reload
enter = secondary fire
kp_ins = use
mouse4 = sprint
mouse5 = flashlight
space = last weapon used

I’m a lefty, much better than WASD :smiley:
I don’t care if I’m DOIN IT WRONG

and for the third time NO

Simply don’t press those buttons and who cares about being ergonomic, I don’t know how you could spend more than 12 hours on a game (12 being my record).

The thing I hate most about controllers is that it takes too long to turn around and it’s dangerous to look up down and side to side when playing multiplayer, and don’t tell me to adjust the sensitivity because my point is using a mouse lets you cover virtually every direction 10x faster then using a controller and you can get your crosshairs on target quicker.

EDIT:

Yes, hotkeys and shortcuts. AoE would suck to play with a controller.

natal for PC

^^this

Also, it isn’t easy to not press them when they are so close to my shift key, and how is it dangerous to look different directions? I know mice let you change direction quicker, but I personally still prefer controllers. I depend it is what you are brought up with.

Controllers may still feel better for you but people with a muse and keyboard would still own you.

What I ment by dangerous to look different directions, is that (to me) it takes a lot of time to run and look around, shoot, and get my crosshairs back to center. More so than with a mouse. So basically I mean using a controller is slow.

“it isn’t easy to not press them when they are so close to my shift key”
I’m not talking about your keyboard, standard keyboards don’t even have that function and most I see that do, have the keys at the top.

You realize I meant that as a joke aswell, or do you actually think I see PC gamers as a master race?

have you taken a look at kaze recently?

I’d say that picture was pretty acurate.

I bought a used PS2 back in my 1st year of high school, it was stolen later that year.

I got an xbox 360 last year, just to play GTA4. But it was stolen a month later along with my laptop and TV.

Consoles are nothing but bad luck.

lol true

My keyboard is the one that came with my pc, and it has the buttons on the right and left hand sides. I know controllers are awkward to turn with, but everybody else has to use them too if you are on a console, so no one has the advantage.

I am not saying they would not , but you are forgetting that others would have the same method of play, and so you would not be pwned.

It’s hard to tell whether someone is a fanboy or just joking in this thread. My apologies.

Yes. Christmas. That’s the time where you ask for as many presents as you can and hope for the best. I know we’re in a tough economic climate so I’m extremely grateful for anything I get. I don’t scream “daddy I want a PS3 or else I’ll run away waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” like a little bitch.

But now that waaaaaaaaaay off topic.

Like I said, it wasn’t a serious suggestion.

Eh, I could take him on any day.

Except Kaze actually is a tough guy.

You don’t know a lot about Kaze do you? His tough act is well deserved.

No assumptions are needed:

Because everyone’s family has the money to get that.
