What?

It’s a mod. Supposed to be an unofficial sequel.

Checking Black Mesa steam chat group to ask anyone if they played it yet… Don’t want to waste my time if it sucks…

took me 2 minutes and 40 seconds to download, still too lazy to install

Well I couldn’t get past the first puzzle involving 2 car batteries to open the game.

Wall climb came to the rescue.

Then I couldn’t find the rocket launcher to take down the gunship.

Wall climb came to the rescue.

Then the level ended.

It sounds like it sucks.

Some open area HL gameplay, doesn’t look too bad, that smg/rifle sounds amazing

Don’t get this confused with our upcoming demo. We’re just letting you play around with the NPC’s and weapons while we work on the real deal (think of this as a small open beta to please the masses). The demo only consisted of one real chapter because we promised the full demo, and then changed our minds. Truthfully, we don’t expect you guys to put that many hours into the demo, but at least you can get a feel for what we’re working towards. If you don’t like it, let us know what we can do to improve! And because of that, we encourage you all to play it, and give us your feedback. Anyways, thanks for being positive so far

I like how the overwatch guys call him Freeman.

The new assets are great. I love the enemies, particularly the charger. I thought it was pretty awesome to have a custom enemy knock me half way across the arena.

I did have a little bit of a problem with the level design on the second level, which is fantastic visually but could use some focus, but if that was just a test level then obviously that’s not a real criticism.

The only thing I flat-out didn’t like was the night vision. It was muddy and didn’t really help much.

Overall, it’s very professional looking, and I’m definitely on board for when it comes out. Very nice work.

Ok, I played it and here’s what I think:
-I couldn’t figure out how to turn the Michael Bay mode off. The explosions, they never stop!
-It looks wierd when a charger, I believe it is, one hit kills an Antlion Guard, and an Antlion Guard one hit kills a charger. I think something should be changed about that, whether it’s increased health or decreased damage or whatever.
-Bullsquids looked a lot different from the original game, much bigger and bulkier. Not a good thing, why can’t they have the same yellow-black mottled skin as in hl: of?
-As you see in Cameron’s post, some people couldn’t figure out the car puzzle. Maybe move the second car with the battery on it (the one not in the garage) over near where you come up onto the plateau? That way you may see it on your way up, so when you see the puzzle you may know where it is.
-Loved the weapons
-Great job with the charger, exactly what you expect in one.
-Good weapons
-As other people said, the night vision was more useless than useful in dark areas. Maybe reduce the green a little bit?

this may sound silly, but I copied the files into my steam folder “steamapps” and there’s no folder called steammods only “user” I copied it there anywayz and restarted Steam and it still doesn’t show up on the menu =/

anyone ?

Mod must go in the following folder…

…\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\

If “SourceMods” does not exist then create one or become lost and panic.

thanks it worked

Downloading right now, let’s see what it’s like

Nice: today OF2 demo, tomorrow CSPromod BETA 1.05

ok i thought give it a try. The result is:

It was a trip. Hurray xD

EDIT: Oh, on the first screen there is a bull(fat)squid! Somewhere in the pink garden…

EDIT 2: Ehm … also the fat squids in the first chapter are spitting ERROR’s. It’s hilarious xD

Clearly it didn’t install correctly.

well i just unzipped it from the *.zip-file into sourcemods folder. Something else to do to prevent this ?

It was a little too early for a demo imo, and the new enemies are too powerful. The deadlock conflict map (or whatever it was called) was alright, and it was visually interesting. I don’t know if fast zombies are the preferred enemy to have in the beginning of that level though, seeing as two out of the four (?) that attacked me jumped over the cliff side and into the river at the bottom of the canyon.
The charger had a nice model (and I like the concept of introducing HL beta enemies), but the buillsquid was just weird.
