Operation_Lambda

Hello there! My name is Anthony Attwood, I am the Lead Modeller for the popular Operation_Lambda mod, we are currently seeking recruits to join our great team.

Please visit:

https://forums.operationlambda.com/index.php
https://www.moddb.com/mods/operation-lambda/

for any information.

We currently seek recruits in:

-> Modelling (We have manager for this section)

-> Animation (including riggers)

-> Programming

-> Texturing

Note: The last 3 sections we don’t have a manager for. We have a team but nobody suitable for manager role of each. Feel free to apply at our forums if you think you have what it takes.

To apply just say so here or go strait to the Operation_Lambda team forums: https://forums.operationlambda.com/forum-team-submissions
NOTE: you will be asked to apply on the team submission forums anyway so we can see your visual work to determine your perfect role

We have plenty of non public work, we are working very hard to produce this game and have many surprises in store for the people who want to play the game

Current Mod Status: 1% (Concept art, maps, models and weapons so far)

i can come up with lies for you if you need that

every mod that doesnt have ssomeone on programming will never be done

We have programmers thanks, we aren’t currently looking for any as the programmers we have are just fine.

I am unsure if a sticky on the bm forums is appropriate, but I am sure I speak for the team when I say we wish you all the best of luck with your mod.

As BM forumites, I am sure we ALL wholeheartedly agree that any mod makers are not only welcome here but also encouraged. Right? RIGHT?!

Keep us updated!

I quit as Head Concept last week, so that may still be up for grabs.

Cheers catzeyes!
You can count on us to keep you all in the light.

The Head of concept artists role is in-fact available, there is currently a good sized team for concept art so please feel free to step in if you think you have what it takes to lead a team in to success!

Basically I myself am looking mainly for modellers as we are outnumbered by the rest of the teams, it’s like a 2:4 ratio so I need talent to build my team. All applicants are welcome without a doubt and as the Head I will be interviewing everyone who wants to join our fine team

So what exactly IS Operation_Lambda?
You oughta change the text at your main page, it’s kinda hard to read large blocks using that font.

There is a HTML site, its still in the makings, but contains all the main information

The maximum server load limit has been reached. Please check back later once the server is less busy.

Cameron… :rage:

Alright… I’ve had enough of that error.
Server load check is now disabled

looks promising

You betch’a
We’ve come so far already in early stages of development, but as this is a large game, we need a slightly larger team else everybody is gonna have to drop their jobs/ college/ university for this xD
Currently I switched from a full time job down to part time after spending an hour explaining to my boss that this game is more important :stuck_out_tongue:
Lucky me, he understood and let me have my way.
Anybody who thinks they can commit to this and produce quality work feel free to apply!

-Anthony-

Seriously, don’t die on me(or our if someone agree with me)

I’m not quitting this because I believe it’s still worth helping out with.

But yeah, I do think it ought to get moving. :3
When I get my new computer, I’ll definitely help with mapping.

Well, I like the idea behind the mod.
Looking forward to seeing some ingame mediaz in a year or so

EDIT: brb, making account at forums :3

Good move mate

What you have read about the game is pretty brief, the real story is much more in depth, we have researchers looking all over the place to back up our plans and so far our story is very solid and the game-play opportunities are vast. I’m looking forward to playing this myself once our new special main feature is added

Hello All,

We have recently had a Team discussion and we are now all clear on our goal, so we should start producing media in about a months time.

However, we desperately need a Lead Programmer, someone who has a great deal of experience with C++ and the Source Engine. Although we are looking for numerous jobs, you can apply on our forums if you are interested.

Just keeping you updated, :stuck_out_tongue:
Shaktal

Good luck with that… From what I heard it took BlackMesa 4 years to get another efficient programmer ( me ) to aid Paul…

Best bet is to continue on with the mod, mapping, modeling, animation and what not, so when you get a programmer he can get to work instead of waiting around.

Hello James,

Thank you for your advice. At the moment I will be doing programming on the team, the problem is I will be busy with some select parts of the code, I need someone who has a lot of experience with the source code to help me debug and to manage the other, more novice programmers whilst I am busy, and I am not the most experienced person with the Source Engine code, so it would be good if someone who has a lot more experience than me leads that field.

Thanks for your advice,
Shaktal

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
