Ok, thank you James.
I’m posting my application as we speak.
Edit: Done
Shaktal, what about that guy I told you about?
He messaged us on ModDB?
He said he was good at C++ stuff.
If you are talking about Cyrk then he got accepted, if not, I didn’t get any other private messages?
Yeah, that’s who I’m talking about.
I never actually saw any work from him, anything good?
Well, it’s quite hard to give evidence as a programmer, so I understood why he had very little to show, but both him and another programmer, were quite new and got on well together, so I decided that I would allow them to do some of the simple programming, so they can learn for themselves, and still be of use to the project.
OK, that’s good.
I’m still waiting for my new HDD, hopefully it should be here within 2 weeks, and I can start helping again.
Ok, looking forward to having you back as a full-time member of the team.
Me too.
I’ve got some exams coming up though, so I won’t be doing as much as I could, but as soon as they are over with, I can do a lot more.
Also, who put the release date at 2013 on the ModDB page?
Me, it is a more realistic release date, considering the scale of the project, and hopefully, we may even be able to release early.
I was just wondering who did it, that’s all.
We have set a release date of 2012-13 although it may take longer depending on play testing. We want quality rather then pushing our product strait out there and getting the old button eye…
I’ve updated the first post slightly. We have made progress as in we have usable weaponry, plenty of great concept art, Models of structures are in the makes and progressing quickly (with quality) and also some of our special physics/ dynamics features are half way there!
I read on your site a release date of 2011… ?
I map but I guess you have many mappers already.
I wouldnt be able to join anyway cus I have my GCSEs
Very interesting Operation Lambda seems to be the continue of story after the Ninilanth was defeated and the Combines started to move to conquer the Earth is part of the link between end of Half Life 1 and start of Half Life 2 what happened in this time will see by browsing levels of Operation Lambda we know when they arrived on Earth but we don`t know how
No, the beginning is set just a few moments before the Resonance Cascade.
The mod has a larger Time-scale than most games, which we can attribute to disparity between the teleport dimensions.
So the Game begins before the resonance cascade, but it ends a few years before Half-life 2.
And just for those confused, it’s not going to be an incredibly long game, there will be a “Slow Teleport” at one stage. A very slow teleport.
That’s pretty much what Shaktal said, but he said it in a very smart way, so some people… may… not… ¬.¬
Oh wow, 15 year slow teleport?
I’d LOVE to teleport at speeds like that! Sign me up!
