Well, how about the fact that they’ve released no media whatsoever asside from 3 pieces of concept art? And that they’ve stated that Episode 3 would have a longer gap between it and the previous episode and the other episodes?

Even if it’s a speculation, which doesn’t seem logical to me since I’ve seen that article on two pretty big game sites, and they name it as fact, not as a speculation, it’s still extremely likeley that it won’t come out this year.

Episode 3 won’t have a new engine, it probably won’t use an AI director, it WILL NOT HAVE THE PORTAL GUN. It won’t be the end of the Half-Life series or Gordon Freeman (I’ve seen people repeat this over and over on the forums). Adrian Shepard won’t be in it.

I’ve seen the article on 2 gaming sites now, and it’s probably on more. Both of the sites post it as a confirmation, not a speculation.
I haven’t seen atleast the site I got it from ever make bogus claims. Besides, I’m sure they have to thoroughly check the source before making claims.

Furthermore, if you’ve been following anything about the Half-Life series you should come to this conclusion anyway with reasoning.

Valve has not released any media regarding episode 3, except a few concept arts. They have also stated that there’d be a longer time between release dates than with any of the other episodes. Do you really actually think that Episode 3 will come out this year? If so: Wake the fuck up, it ain’t happening.
