Until they announce that Starcraft II, Diablo III, Cataclysm and Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will be console only.
They wouldn’t do that, they’re too deeply ingrained in the PC community. Remedy was already more of a console-type-game developer anyways, with max payne

Correct me if I’m wrong, but a few years back when they first started talking about Alan Wake, wasn’t their main focus on how it was using quad core technology (a pc only thing) so impressively?
I was very excited about this new game by Remedy. It was supposed to mark the point for my next PC upgrade to a quad core… two years ago.
And then came the statements that the PC version’s chances are looking slim. That maybe we’ll see a PC version in the future but the focus has shifted to an XBOX exclusive release. And now this moronic excuse of a statement by an anonymous (?) spokesperson.
Right now I hate everything about the game. Just thinking about it is a heart-wrenching chore.

between Alan Wake being console-only and rockstar turning max payne into a fatass bearded baldy with aviators and a beard… with remedy’s awesome legacy… i am weeping in despair whenever either series is mentioned
Bullshit. I’ve been looking forward to this game for the past 2 or so years. But as Hazzmat said, at least we still got Valve.
Luckily, I have an XBox… and I’m not even looking forward to the game that much.

Max Payne 3 isn’t being developed by Remedy. It’s a complete Rockstar production now.

I’ve got nothing against consoles per say but console only or lousy ports won’t be getting my money. Simple as that.
Personally I play fps, 3rdps, simulation and strategy games on my PC and the only console I’d consider is the wii for offering a very different gaming experience.
Now what I don’t get is why the hell microsoft wants console only games in any way. Wouldn’t they want as many reasons for people to go windows as possible?

A person who spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a gaming PC isn’t going to jump ship just because of one game.
Sure, maybe a few people will get an XBox for this game, but imagine how much more Microsoft could be making if it was also on the PC.
