Newer ways to kill enemies?

:awesome: That’s actually pretty clever. But still, jumping on top of enemies to kill them is pretty ridiculous.

I have something more interesting for him!

That was the best thing ever.

It is possible to kill any headcrab in HL2 by either jumping directly onto it, or dropping an item on it (barrels and crates work a treat).

Thats the first good suggestion I have seen in a while.

It is possible when a headcrab is under a plank or something by jumping onto it, it is a specific scene in ep 2

Except for the fact that that doesn’t work.

Oh God those trucks with grenade launchers in the back were terrible. The bots would always shoot them off too close and blow the damn thing up.

He’s referring to Modular Combat. I think anyways. You can do that in it. It also plays a Super Mario sound :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah bugger, sorry, you’re right. I just tried it; I could have sworn I used to kill them by jumping on them occasionally. :fffuuu:

You can kill them by throwing any object of reasonable weight onto them though; just killed a couple in Ravenholm with a barrel.

There is one special headcrab in Half-Life 2 in the chapter “Follow Freeman!” I think, in the canalization. It doesn’t attack the player and you can kill it with jumping on it. I don’t know what the headcrab was for.

That was done with triggers, though.

Could someone tell me the map name of this so-called stompable headcrab?
I have a funny feeling that it doesn’t exist.

Just beyond the poison zombie.

Oh wow. That was the most random and pointless thing I’ve seen in a commercial game in years. Was that an easter egg made by a mapper who was just dicking around, or what?

Lol I just played through hl2 again and noticed that and I was like wtf.

Maybe it was a brainwashed headcrab.

I remember when I accidentally found out that you could kill headcrabs by throwing shit at them. I was picking up a crate, heard that rattle, went ‘ZOMGPOISONHEADCRAB’, tossed the box and got out my shotgun, only to notice that I squished the thing. That was as funny as hell.
