New Mod - Operation λambda

Ha,

We will need testers throughout the project, but primarily at the moment we are just looking for the remainder of the production team.

I would like to reiterate that we do need still:

○ A Head Mapper
○ A Head Texture Artist
○ A Head Programmer
○ A Head Animator

The prerequisite for these positions is good prior work that you can demonstrate, the ability to lead a team, and experience with the source engine.

However, even if you feel that you could not lead a team, you can still become part of our team, you will still be fully recognised in partaking with the production of the mod. We still need a much larger team in all areas of development, and we would appreciate any help that we can get.

Thank you,
Shaktal

We still don’t have any community ideas for the Combine Planet. Any body want to post some little doodles?

:freeman:
Gordon Freeman is interested

why not just use the stuff from HL2 raising the bar? They had a bunch of various ideas for alien combine before they settled on the converted humans instead.

I want to be a voice actor >.< But my mic quality is for the fail, so you probably wont want me, I can be a playtester though =] If I could, i’d help with modelling, but i have no knowledge on how to.

We want to create the original combine; raising the bar still would have been transient combine forces. We will be on one of their home worlds, therefore conditions etc. will be different.

Also, we want to create as much original content as possible whilst still following canon, one of our main priorities is to make sure that there are no deviations from canon in our mod, obviously if in later Half-life games we are revealed to be wrong, that is unfortunate, but as this is just a mod…

Thank you,
Shaktal

Hello All,

Migration to new site is now complete, we can now be found at:

Website: https://operationlambda.com
Forums: https://forums.operationlambda.com

Thank you,
Shaktal

What does everyone think of the new forum theme? The current background is only temporary.

I can’t view your website because it claims that I don’t have Flash 10, despite the fact that I do.

It works fine for me. Firefox 3.5.6.

It needs 10.0.32 for whatever reason… It broke when I tried changing the required version :3

HTML site is in-development.

Ya i probably wouldn’t mind helping with voices

The combine would not need to be in all that gear and breathing equipment if it was their homeworld, also, we want some ideas for the young combine and the landscape, we would not be involving the adults as much.

As Cameron has previously said: It requires flash: 10.0.32 to run.

But the HTML site, will just require Javascript and a normal internet browser. It’s still in the early stages of development however, I have busy lately, but I shall progress allot with it this weekend.

I’ve received your E-mail, and has responded, but in case you didn’t get it (E-mail sometimes screws around, you should make a thread of our forums, so Adam (the Lead Media Designer) has a chance to see your work, and make a judgement based on that.

Thank you,
Shaktal

Actually… In HL2, in the final level where you come up the elevator to a control room where Breen is talking to an advisor on the other side, the advisor still has its breathing equipment (The room where you get your gravity gun back)

Whose to say that Advisor was on the homeworld?

I have flash player version 10.0.42.34 & Firefox 3.5.5 & it just doesn’t run.

Because he was communicating with them about what he would do once over there and he turns control over to the advisor. Later Alyx says “He turned control over to the other side”… So I would assume it is on the home world.

You have a point there, but that still isn’t proof that it’s on the homeworld. That advisor could be some sort of messenger in a third universe relaying messages to-and-from Breen to the homeworld. Of course, you could be right. But I for one, think he isn’t on the homeworld.

This [COLOR=‘Red’]λ is used like L…
in Half Life 1 will be a chapter “Lambda Core” you’ll see on some walls how is writen

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
