New Mod - Operation λambda

I agree, I am sorry for the illegibility of the font, hopefully I will be able to correct this is due course, but currently I am busy with the HTML site, which will be much nicer to read.

Thank you.

Thank you for your interest,

We would greatly appreciate it if you could apply as a concept artist.

I look forward to hopefully working with you.

Does anybody have any ideas for the combine homeworld?

I already have tons of ideas.

S what are you ideas Adam? And what ideas do other people have?

Such as?

And would be nice to hear what the community would like in this mod.

Also, we are still looking for head mapper/modeller/programmer. So we would appreciate it if anyone could help in that area.

Thank you,
Shaktal

Being an OCD asshole. The Lambda sign on the flash site, when hovered over, looks horrid. I understand it’s the type of overlay you have which I I’m pretty sure is set to “Difference” and the blue on the top portion kills it. I would suggest changing it to “Normal”.

Like I said though, I’m just OCD about it and I know it’s not top priority, but first impressions are all the rage.

Not to mention, you have it highlight to show interaction but you can’t click it?

That was deliberate. The blue was to represent the combine, and the orange was to represent half-life. It’s interesting that you don’t like it though. So, I might remove it if the majority of people don’t like it (most people have liked it so far  ).

At some point in the future though there will be (as stated in a previous post) a HTML site, for slower computers, and hopefully improved usability.

Thank you for your comments.

EDIT: It is not meant to be a clickable interaction, it is more of an easter egg type thing, something which enhances the GUI without actually performing any set function.

Since you say it’s deliberate then that’s fine, but it doesn’t look like it [Mainly because it follows the curve of the glare of the button]. Maybe slice it vertical?

I thought that rather than slicing it vertically, I would use difference blending as it would be more subtle and professional than if I was to slice it perpendicularly.

I will however, consider your points.

Thank you

Oh I really really like the idea, I hope it works out. If I knew how to do anything to help I would.

Good luck, sounds like an awesome idea.

I was asked to do some weaponry and homeworld concept which I shall probably post here when I’m done. I am also going to adapt some original HL2 concept pure-combine aliens to it, kinda like the guy in my avatar.

I intend to stay true to the Combine’s usual biomechanical mannerisms.

Thank you,

They will also be posted on our ModDB page and our website.

Also, any more suggestions or comments would be helpful.

Thank you.

We have got a new domain now, the website has not yet been transferred, but once it has it will be at: https://www.operationlambda.com

Is the idea of the combine homeworld xen-like?

Or something else entirely?

The migration may take slightly longer due to some unforeseen problems. We will try to have it up and working by the end of the weekend though, although it may run into the weekend.

Currently, it will be a mixture of the two, a xenian-like base planet, but with a great deal of combine infrastructure.

Although, our concept artists will make final adjustments as they see fit. So, at the moment I cannot be sure of the exact finished product.

But we are always open to suggestions from the community!

Thank you,
Shaktal

Cool idea. I think it will be cool to see the devs’ take on the Combine homeworld.

Thank you,

Hopefully, we will be able to come up with a design that is both cannon and visually appealing.

I think you are mistaken, we aren’t the dev’s :S :freeman:

I’m talking about the Operation Lambda devs, not the BM devs.
