So in the picture with the helicopter in the foreground and what is presumably Alex and Gordon in the background, and also that picture of what seems to be Xen with one of the same characters, could Gordon have finally ditched the Mark V?

^while i also used to hate it when people spell alyx wrong, it’s not a big issue for me now, since those who say alex are simply meaning alyx with another spelling, although they may not be aware of that^^ The Names are actually the same or more precisely have the same origin. Alyx, Alex, Alessa are all spelled different and used in different languages but they originate from the ancient Greek feminine name Alexandra (meaning defender, guardian).

I like the concepts, but they remain what they are: concepts. The setting or certain design elements may have changed over time. And i doubt that this one concept art is related to Xen, though I’d love to revisit it in EP3/HL3/whatever it will be named.
Nonetheless, they look nice and get you in the mood :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s fake. None of this fits in with any of HL2’s established style, namely the Resistance’s clothes. Some of these pictures are meaningless squiggles/swirls. The Advisor looks like it was photoshopped into the picture rather than drawn in, which I’ve never seen done in real Valve concept-art.

This whole thing reeks of fakeness.

I think you haven’t seen real old and unused concept art from Valve. They are pretty much like this. Leaving huge parts out and obvious real photo -> photoshop pics, while they don’t look that good.

Not really. It was said many times that EP3 was to be very different from the other episodes.

They’re real. Doesn’t mean all those images will be seen specifically in ep3. None probably will be. That’s why they’re concept art and open for public eyes. Also, what’s up with all the comments on that Valve Time facebook page? Cancer everywhere. Some of the comments were embarrassing to read.

I’ve seen pretty much all of their concept art & the older content looks even less like this than their newer stuff.
