There’s undocumented quicksave/load options, like it’s not even mentioned in the controls scheme. F9/F11, but one can’t save during a mission at all, neither during animation and some scripted scenes, weirdly.
Makes sense, perhaps it broke those sequences.
During missions, you get checkpoints anyway.
Sometimes they’re too few and far between imo. It kinda pisses me off sometimes when I get really close to an objective only to die from some slip up. It’s weird, the game’s open nature encourages experimentation, but the checkpoint system discourages it.
I didn’t know FC3 had quicksaving and loading. I just used the “save” button in the menu that only seemed to work half the time.
