Most frustratingly difficult games ever?

Some of the StarCraft: Brood War missions were ball-crushers. Then again, I’ve never been a super-strategist when it comes to RTS games.

Yep, Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV. Also, Bit Trip Runner.

It was a rule for me that I literally could never beat that game without using cheats, they put you with like 4 SCV’s in a mineral field against enemies who had bases covering the whole fucking map.

SC2 was surprisingly easy to me, though.

AvP 2000 gives you no direction whatsoever. I played through half the Predator campaign not knowing there were any weapons besides the wrist blade.

Can’t even figure out what the fuck you’re supposed to do most of the time, especially on the Alien levels.

QWOP

Call of Cthulhu: DCotE was pretty difficult with all of the game-breaking glitches and whatnot.

Super Mario Bros, last bit.

How come games aren’t so challenging today anymore? Now you just play through every game without any major obstacles, isn’t that lame?

I wondered when that might show up.

The training level of the first driver game drove me insane  You can’t even skip it.

But one of the hardest games (if not the hardest game) I every played was I wanna be the guy

When you say, VVVVVVV was hard, which mode do you mean? I found the normal game pretty easy actually.
The “main game” of Super Meat Boy is not that hard either, but some of the warp zones, the dark world (especially if you want to get all bandages) and other bonus levels are really hard.

Demon’s Souls?

I haven’t actually played it yet but the general consensus is that the game is hard as fuck.

I’d like to add Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2’s final bosses. Those fuckers really made me want to throw my overpriced PS3 controller against the wall.

Pshh, QWOP is easy. Just basically do the splits and drag your way to victory.

Sephiroth in both Kingdom Hearts games, and Gruntilda in Banjo-Tooie.

Dark Colony

That was an old and heavily-mirrored RTS a lot like Warcraft II - it was also very similar to X-COM. It was the absolute ball breaker of RTS and still remains on my PC with an incomplete campaign.

Yeah, Demon’s Souls is systematically very hard, judging from what I played of it. Oh, you died? Fuck you, start the whole level over with half health then.

Hammerfight.

What the fuck.

Clearly you didn’t follow the damn train.
