They say the main plot of new Metal gear will take place some time after MGS 4.
But i don´t get it. Didn´t Raiden quit fighting and live a normal life at the end of MGS 4? And on top of that, how did he actually get back his old cyber-body? He had already got new cyber-body with light skin! Any suggestions?

But seriously, if they were going this crazy with it, they should have just started a new IP. Kojima could use one anyway.

I was excited about this game, and I still am about some aspects of it, but after reading that bit Raziel posted, I’m going to pass. I may rent it down the road somewhere, but Konami won’t get my money.
Metal Gears always been slightly anime inspired. In fact Otacon says that in MGS.
“What is this? This is like one of my Japanese animes!!”

I stopped following Metal Gear Solid after Snake Eater… it’s just too much for me. this is redonkulous

I´ll give it a shot…full game might change my opinion a bit…but now i wonder, if this isn´t just some “alternate version” of DMC

The gameplay looks neat with the dynamic cutting stuff but I think they should have made a new setting and story instead of awkwardly tacking this game into the MGS continuity.
I think they intend to make new story …because they´ve said it isn´t even a sequel to MGS
