You’ll need a fan patch to fix the sound in MP1 on Windows 7 but other than that they run fine and even support modern resolutions.

It’s just, well, this screenshot will explain everything:

I haven’t been able to find anything that fixes the aspect ratio when playing in 16:9.

Edit: This is supposed to make it not as bad, but doing it every level and possibly multiple times per level, ehhh.

I played both of them through at 16:10 and it didn’t seem that bad to me. I did notice some stretching but it wasn’t overwhelming.

I was really surprised by how good it looked when I played it too. The only thing really wrong with it is that it doesn’t have ragdolls, which the second one fixes.

When I first played it I thought it was made by 3D Realms because I was fairly young and it was a time when I didn’t know what a publisher was

Whenever I would show a friend the game it would be like “LOOK GUISE, DIS GAEM WAS MADE BY DUKE NUKEM PEOPLE”

And the home sequence scared the fuck out of me.

“Is this the Payne residence?” “Yes someone’s broken into my house, call 911!”

“Good.” click

I never got why Max didn’t call 911 after that.
