Max Payne 3 should be developped by the good old Remedy I say, well one can only hope the 3rd installation won’t fail. The scans are good (Max Payne is bald and sometimes has hair, messing with time at this level is kinda interesting) and the fact that the development takes so long is also promising.
Might actually turn out to be decent.
I never played the Max Payne games. Were they any good? I heard a lot of mixed reviews from my friends so I decided not to risk it.
They’re excellent. Pick them up on Steam. If you’re using Windows Vista/7 you’ll probably need a unofficial patch to play the first one with sound.

Is there a new facial actor for Max? I kinda don’t see the resemblance between him then and now. It’s fine, but the voice better be the same!
They’re using the same voice actor. As for the face actor, there was a huge difference between MP1’s Max and MP2’s Max, so it doesn’t surprise me if he’d look completely different again but afaik, they basing it off MP2’s face.
I used to make maps for max payne, I even made a mod with custom weapons, custom hud, menus and loading screens.

Yay, Max Payne! I love old fashioned detective stories, so I’ve always enjoyed the feel of the games. Also, the fun house level was the scariest fucking thing I have ever encountered in a videogame. No joke.

I loved both games- personally, if I had to pick a favorite I’d go with MP2 for the improved game mechanics and the excellent story over the previous game. Plus, the 360 reload spin is probably one of the coolest game features in history.
It looks good, but I’m pissed that they said there won’t be any comic book scenes. They were the second signature feature of the games, the first being, of course, bullet time.
nah, original was better. I loved the blizzard, the desperation, the I-don’t-give-a-fuck end of the world feel and the norse mythology.
In MP2, it was all about mid-life crisis and quite sub-par compared to the first game.
And of course, MP1 still has better mods.
I still maintain Max Payne 1 as one of the hardest games I’ve ever played for that fucking skyscraper lobby.
I agree with ODB, MP1 atmosphere was unique. I’m afraid MP3 will lose this suicidal character I used to love for a more conventional action hero type.

Still was a bloody fun game, and scary too with the dreams. It’s one of the only third person games I ever liked.
