Mass Effect thread

So I finished ME3. I’ll try not to spoil anything obviously, I hate spoilers.

I was exepting way more from it … ME2 was all about recruiting your mates and shaping their minds, many would follow you in paragon or renegade ( Garrus, Mordin, Miranda, Jack, Zaeed ) in ME1 & 2. I was ABSOLUTLY sure that Garrus would be very different from what you did of him, allow him to get his revenge and fall into hatred or help him out.

But all of this doesnt matter one bit or very very lightly in ME3, way less than I exepted, and as for me this was 75% of the whole Mass Effect games point, I’m dissapointed.

The endings are not satisfying at all and all of your choices have finally very little impact on the game end.

Add to this the story being very easy and too short, for me ME3 is a failure.

The whole ‘recruiting’ thing was really only an aspect of ME2, not ME1.

ME1 you had people walk up to you and be all “hey commander lemme come along!” and all you had to do was say yes or no.

Well you couldnt really fail to recruit anyone in ME2 neither

Out of everything I hear of this game, one unanimous opinion is that the ending sucks. Sort of afraid to finish the game now.

I finished it with renegade shepard, trying a paragon one now, will see if anything important changes.

I’ve read that playing multiplayer a fucking lot and doing every single measly side quest factors in to how good your ending will be.

Nope, there are different endings, depending on how much “war effort” you prepared before the final mission. Obviously the 2 real endings happen when you have the maximum war effort. Multiplayer only helps a tiny bit (Its used as a multiplier of your maximum war score, by +5%)

Well then that probably means the dumbasses didn’t get maximum war effort but dismiss it as the endings just bad. I’d also say the opinion on the ending is hardly unanimous, I haven’t gotten to play ME3 because my cousin stole it, but I’ve heard some good opinions about the ending. Let`s hope it’s just typical nitpicking.

I think when literally no one says something is good, it is safe to assume that it isn’t good.

Yeah, I have yet to hear one good thing about the ending. I might just stop playing so I can make up my own ending.

Well ain’t that something.

Man, the ending must be shit.

Damn. I mean, Bioware and EA have said they pretty much ignore these kinds of things but…seriously, damn. How would that even work, anyway? That’d be a pretty damn big patch. Personally, I think making the Prothean DLC free would be a better reason for a petition but we’ll see…

“COMING SOON - ME3: The Real Ending…Only $15!”

Sadly I lack a proper drawfag among my friends, If anyone is interrested, I would like to make an alternative ending in the form of a manga / bd.

Instantly don’t care.

Sorry I hurt ur feelings.

You didn’t hurt my feelings, I just hate the word ‘fag’ being tacked onto to everything like we’re on freaking 4chan.

On-topic, this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRRpGlmtws8

I hope it isn’t as dissapointing as Deus Ex: HR was. My brother has the game and has been playing it a lot, but I can’t decide whether I should just jump in, or replay my Mass Effect 2 save to keep everyone alive. I lost a ton of people. Tali because she was in my party when they closed the door; Zaeed because despite being a grizzled veteran apparently he sucks at commanding; Mordin because Zaeed sucks at commanding; and Kasumi because I didn’t have time to complete her loyalty mission because I wanted to save my crew (half of which were melted). So yeah, I’m very indecisive, should I keep the consequences of failure, or restart thus making me have better “readiness” while also lessening the “unique-ness” of my playthrough.

Just download some mass effect saves.
