Mass Effect thread

Damn, that sucks =/

I’m really not liking the lack of interactivity in the cutscenes. I liked when I could choose literally anything Shep would say, now I’m restrained to two dialogue options at random points in the conversation. Sure, now they seem more cinematic, but in a game where choice is supposedly paramount, that should be supreme.

Lol wow. While I think people getting so angry over this is a little much, it is a pretty lame move. I mean, lots of fans have been wanting to see Tali’s face since the first game came out, and they’ve been quite…vocal about their desire. Either Bioware should’ve just not done it, showing some kind of integrity to their original intent, or they should have done it and done it well, showing that they care about their fans. Such a lazy attempt to quiet the Tali fans doesn’t really say anything good about Bioware.

Still, no matter what I hear about ME3, I gotta finish it. I just can’t not conclude the series.

As neojam on the kotaku page I linked to put it…

Haven’t played the game yet, and I’m still looking forward to it. I’m sure the gameplay and story is awesome it’s just… why? https://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17fpotfw143rqjpg/original.jpg

Edit: (I changed the link so it has to be clicked to be seen, sorry for any scarring)

Whoa whoa, who said that was supposed to be Tali? That better not be Tali. I haven’t gotten far into ME3 yet but…seriously, no.

I’m sorry to say but yes. Thankfully it’s limited to an image on your desk, but the deed is done. That one deviantart mockup was way better, hopefully someone mods it into the PC version soon.

god damn it man

put that picture in a link instead of inserting it like that

Sorry :frowning: . It’s just a picture that is on Shepard’s desk at some point. As far as I know there is no “big reveal” moment. But sorry I’ll edit it.

It’s probably like Liara/Kaiden/Ashley’s picture in Mass Effect 2. There is never any attention given to it, it’s just there.

I’m not outraged that they took a free stock photo, like many people seem to be, but I am disappointed.

^ this

I don’t get angry at my media, I get disappointed with missed oppurtunities.

Well at least it looks better than the Ashley/Kaiden Liara photos. I mean, Ashley looked all sweaty and Liara’s was just pulled from the Asari codex entry. She wasn’t even looking at the camera!

Thank god they revealed Tali’s face! I feel so much better now. Now, VALVE needs to get on the ball and tell us everything about the Pyro! And the G-man! And then there will be no more mysteries and life will be perfect and simple and straightforward with no more surprises.

I think it’s pretty stupid for something with legs and hands like a Quarian to have a face indistinguishable from that of a human.

Wrong, their face is photoshopped IRL.

I just pretended Quarians looked like elongated frogs.

finally got aus release yesterday - 6.5 hours later i went to bed. and now another 7 hours tanite. actually + i dont have work tomorrow.

Still waiting for UPS to deliver mine. I thought amazon prime meant they’d kill people to get it to you by the end of the day.

I had an amazon prime account for a few weeks, but it was rubbish! Every single item I ordered over a period of 2 weeks took longer to come then if I just chose the ‘free’ 2-4 day delivery!

I called up and canceled the account and got my money back.

Its a shame as Amazons services are usually really good.

Got to the ending.

It was a major disskapointments.

It’s because with Prime, instead of going with reputable companies like FedEx or UPS for everything, they go with smaller companies for many of the shipments. These companies don’t hold their employees to the same standards as the larger companies. I’ve read about people ordering stuff with Prime, having it marked as delivered on time, but not getting it for days or weeks after.

Everyone keeps saying this, it can’t possibly be that bad. I sure hope not, anyway. No spoilers.
