Mac VS. PC

Wrong.
Macs are not as prone to get infected, because they have a grand total of 3 ‘viruses’ or so, none of which do much. Windows does not have more bugs because it’s more popular, it’s because they have a lot more people looking for them, it’s a lot more open ended then macs, and because they’re better advertised then the bugs that macs have. If you click on one of those ads while you’re on a mac, you don’t get infected because that ad can’t do shit all to you because you’re on a mac.

Get your facts straight.

Also, since Mac OS’ code is “cleaner”, it’s less likely to get infected.

The idea is not to FUCKING CLICK THE ADS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Mac is your baby computer, when you are finally ready to take off your expensive training wheels and join the rest of the real world, get a PC. I currently run Win7 RC on a computer that plays Crysis on Ultra high with an average of 40fps, and was built for under $USD700. To even get close to that on a Mac, I would have had to fork over $4000, buy Windows, and install all sorts of crap to fill the holes of features normal computers have.

/rage.
No offense to anyone.
I’m also trying to find a nice batch of Linux right now, I’m interested in a dual boot.

Vista (and I assume 7) is actually much more secure than OSX or linux, at least according to the guy who one Pwn2Own this last year (he gained complete control of a macbook in 10s and a vista machine in like 2 min)

And he’s a mac guru.

Give me a second.
(/Looks at the “Start” tab. Sees a Windows logo./)[/SIZE]
PC owns bitches! Fuck the Mac!

Lol, agreed. the mac bar provides not much more then a right click or an in program toolbar does. the start menu gives you all your programs, recent programs, recent documents and more. And then you have the right click and in program toolbars for everything the mac bar has.

Also, any discussion on pcs being inferior due to viruses is completely and utterly irrelevant. If you are an intelligent person who knows at least something about computers and you don’t go picking fights with hackers, you will be able to go years without a virus.

WOW, LOL!

Learn to fucking read my post before replying like a smart ass, It might HELP your argument. The fact that Mac represents less than 4% of the worldwide installed OS of computers might explain why there are fewer Mac viruses.

But hey you’re just a Fan boy, so I can expect your reply to be… hmm… “NUHU WINDOWS SUX” Or Wait, you’ll quote CERTAIN parts of my post and produce a error-filled wall of text that I won’t even read.

https://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=2917

Oh and an FYI, the very FIRST computer virus was written and successfully inputted into a MAC.

Um, actually I said “PC owns bitches” because all I have is a PC (and thus, I sound like a fanboy), but that’s cool too.
But fanboy or not, I still side with PC. It all comes down to this: PC has games, Mac does not.

Ooh irony.

Wait, is that something to be proud of? :brow:
.

So you were being sarcastic or not? You’re not being very clear on that. I took your post as a way of saying that the windows start menu is better than the mac bar in a fanboyish way.

Macs SUCK big time. They really do. The first game that I completed on the Macbook was Minerva: Metastasis. The game crashed after every hour of gameplay. That was the longest time that the game would run until crashing. It’s because DirectX does not get along with Mac hardware on a Bootcamped Windows OS. Macs are only good for OpenGL games and those games are all from the 90’s. I have a coworker of mine that has promised to build me a gaming PC. All I have to do is give him the list of parts I want and he goes to price sites to find the websites that have the cheapest parts. After all, I don’t want to play Black Mesa on this MacCrap and have it crash from 5 minutes in the game to an hour. I don’t want to click on the “Would you like to send an error report?” box that comes up with each crash. I want to play Black Mesa without any interruptions. Also I want to play it on Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate on a gaming PC instead of Windows XP on my Mac.

How the hell would a Start menu be the deciding factor of which is better?

But the OS is more crippled, you can change the root password without logging in.

:retard:

Can you not read? Or are you just brain dead?

Honestly, I’m not a fan boy of ANY os, I see all there flaws and advantages and if I wasn’t such a gamer, I’d be using Linux probably, That idiot replies to my post “LOL WRONG” with NO evidence or knowledge of any operating system and came running to the defense of MAC even though there is enough PROOF to show that they are not invincible.

Oh and fan boys refuse to use anything but the OS they a fan boy of. (Unless they have no choice.) I bought my laptop which is decent enough to play CoH and some other low demanding games for HALF of the average mac, so if I could get a mac that cheap I’d probably own one.

Read your posts, they pretty all yell “NUHU MAC SUX”. So maybe you’re not a fanboy but you’re definitely a Mac-hater, therefore making any of your arguments invalid.

So if everybody is a “Mac-Hater” and or “PC-Hater” (even though the latter is redundant because macs are PCs anyway) then everybody’s argument is invalid, thus rendering any further discussion after this post pointless.

Except apple sucks, and other PC’s rule.

But when the user is not an idiot, there will never be a problem with the computer, mac or PC.

I used to have a bootable cd to wipe the admin password for windows.

Also, bob, I’m stating facts. I run Windows 7, Ubutnu 9.04, and OSX in a VM, I have no OS preference tbqh, each has their own benefits and downfalls.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
