I know that alot of people would say mac and alot pc, but you cant compare them, there both good, i have both so i should know, and the reason you cant compare them is because they both do completely different thing. Its like trying to compare a cheeseburger and a towel, it cant be done!!!

They are. That was what he meant by saying they can’t be compared. They do different things.

That’d be because a lot of games aren’t made for Macs. Macs are good with music, art, etc.

My opinion:

Having a Mac is like having an Audi R8 without steering. It can be powerful, but you’re extremely limited. You do what you want, but they way you’re told, which is either going forward or backward. It’s also very pretty, but damn expensive.

Having a PC with Windows is like driving Ford Focus. It’s less pretty than the Audi, but still it looks good. You can do much more things with it since it has a more powerful engine, but if you don’t know how to properly use it you might crash it into a wall and screw everything up. It also gets rusty pretty fast, which means you have to take it to the garage or do a little of maintenance often.

Having a PC with Linux is like driving a Russian tank. Only pros can really use it to the max, and if you do it’s super-duper powerful. Of course if you don’t know anything to it you might manage to drive around a bit but you’ll get bored after a few miles.

Macs are the trend setters. Want to see what windows will look like in the future then get a mac os. On the other hand their so dam un helpfull with people who want to upgrade withought changing there whole dam computer its not funny,
and these days dont microsoft own a sizable chunk of mac shares these days that its a null question?

My opinion.

I have a PC, and wont buy a Mac.
That being said.

  1. Macs are likely better. More stable, higher quality machines.
  2. they are more expensive. I could build one myself that has twice the power for the same price.

Conclusion. Macs are better, but not worth the price.

If people could come up with analogies like that as a verbal response, on the spot in real life, and make them work, they would be the kind of people you’d want to be within earshot of when they talk.

I find this to be a pretty good description, except for the Linux part because I don’t know anything about Linux so I dont’ know if it is right or not.

Now first off, @ the idea that pcs and macs do completely different things, name one thing that a mac can do and a pc can’t. Then count how many things a pc can do that a Mac can’t. You’re gonna end up with a pretty long list in the second case. And everybody always says macs are better at artistic things but nobody can ever explain why. Tell me something completely solid such as; mac has x and pc has y, x is better than y because…

Pcs can break down and are fairly unreliable if you don’t know everything about them (which I definately don’t) but if you know enough you can usually fix them and if you don’t know enough then you probably don’t know how to do something that will break them.

I think the biggest thing is pc is far far more open to third party, this means you get much better hardware bargains, better hardware due to competing companies and more options in just about anything you can think of.

Oops, sorry car lovers. I just realized that the Focus is much less powerful than the Audi R8 so I should probably take something else for the PC. Or change it a bit.
