I don’t really care when it is released to be honest. I’ve got GTA3 to keep me busy. There’s only 40 or so missions but I still have to practice flying the plane, it’s phucking suicide.

I didn’t get bored, but it did surprise me how quickly I got frustrated with some sections. The later games do so much to help you out that you don’t even realize most of the time, like giving you more power-ups when your health is low. In HL1 that’s absent, and you notice.
