Now, I don’t think it’s a loss of interest at all………we’re just getting restless about anything Half Life! I’m a “Half-Lifer” 100 percent. I love the game! I’ve played all four Half Life games over and over and over again. I’ve played on all levels, got all the achievements, played mod after mod on anything that even resembles Half Life (I’m sure everyone here’s done the same). Then, we get the news that E3 won’t even be out this year. Don’t worry Dev’s, we’re just like a bunch of kids waiting for Christmas morning and when BM Source is released, that’s what it’ll be like.

I totally agree with you Evan “cockroach”. It is getting to the point where the potential for this game with be nothing. Bigger and better games are coming. Though it is nice of these people to do this for free. They could be total jerks and try to charge us but there again they would lose people. My opinion is that it will be here, but maybe in late August. I don’t know but I would hope to see it come soon because my patience is going as well.

They couldn’t charge; a quick glance through the forums or at the FAQ would have told you that. It would be illegal.

Also “bigger and better” games? why not try some more nonsense terms, you could have made as much sense saying “longer and sharper” or “Bluer and more chocolatey”. I realise you are entitled to an opinion, but you have no basis by which you may pass judgement; in short, you are talking shit.

Finally, where is your patience going? Is it going to erase all traces of Black Mesa from the internet? no? well then you’ll be downloading it with the rest of us when it is released, regardless of when (yes you will, don’t lie). Patience my ass.

To nay-sayers in general:
I’m sick to my back teeth of mouth breathers with entitlement complexes spewing unproductive garbage all over the comments pages and forums of various Mods; Black Mesa, Lost Alpha, AMK, The Dark Mod, Beyond The Red Line; these are fucking gifts people, they are not yours and will not be but for the grace and good will, the considerate and benevolent philanthropy of those who have the intelligence, the knowledge and the will to create such works. I can only imagine how your ignorance makes the devs of these mods feel; try considering how arrogant and ignorant your “contribution” sounds before hitting post. Rule of the thumb: If you want it, can’t or won’t do it yourself, and its free, keep your dialogue to questions about how it is coming along, enjoy it when it comes, and shut the fuck up. I lose interest every time I come back to the forum. Nothing worth discussing ever happens. Of course, I’m still excited about the eventual release of Black Mesa. I’m just bored of reading 15 page threads about the color of the vortigaunt’s teeth.

Lawl, relax lads. This is the part of a project called “Jayzus, I just want to get rid of the bleedin’ thing” they want to release the damn thing as much as you want to play it. But considering what’s at stake - the devs’ careers, Half Life’s legacy, and so forth it’s dragging on.

My advice: take a bird out, get drunk now and then, read the odd book and just look forward to the feckin’ thing. :slight_smile:
