In related news, I got the demo running. Pretty sweet, except for the part where all of the special infected are invisible.
Invisible? That could be an issue. Although do they suddenly appear when you shoot them? Because that could be cool.

I like the idea of survivor sighting. Like G-Man sighting, kinda.
No, they don’t, although their shadow appears and you can see them very faintly if you shine the flashlight on them. Also, the red outline appears around them if they grab another survivor.
So basically, all the shaders work except for the albedo. It’s a pretty common problem on the steamforums.

Sorry for the double post but you may enjoy this, while playing with the sv_cheats I put in Spawn leaker_boomer and it was a variant of the usual boomer except it armored on the front, and when it barfed or exploded there was liquid that acts like the spitter’s except it’s highly flammable.
Expert mode is loads of fun with some other good players.
Though several times now I’ve started a campaign mode and somehow the host rigged it to be versus and was controlling the special infected.
How the balls did you get sv_cheats to work? They locked it up in the demo.
If you tried switching to certain maps via console it would let you. Though now that’s patched.
After reading a lot of these posts, I’m starting to think I’m the only one who checks the Steam forums on a daily basis. Not that I would blame anyone who doesn’t, it’s full of whiney brats.
@Android: You can’t use it normally, but you can still use it. Open up the console, and type in “map " where "_” is either of the two demo maps. This will create a “listen” server that only you can play on where sv_cheats 1 will work. Actually, using sv_cheats 1 anywhere else will very specifically tell you how to do this.
Okay, I finnaly played the L4D2 demo… for 5 minutes.
The reason being is because when I play the game keeps freezing on me. I adjusted the settings countless times. Nothing worked!
I assume it’s my drivers, but I don’t know.
It says this if you try to turn cheats on.
Step 1. Download Australian L4D2 demo
Step 2. Open the application
Step 3. Say “Hahahahahaha, no.” out loud
Step 4. Uninstall it and walk away
I know… that’s, umm, kinda why I said it.
