They’re confused right now, but once they realize they’ve been developing all their new properties exclusively for the 360 (on the 360, no less- they didn’t even try to develop them on those backwards prehistoric monoliths called "PC"s) , they’ll smack themselves on the forehead, grin in disbelief, and come round to their senses.
I have a feeling piracy is going to somehow make its way to the consoles. I don’t know how, but if there is a chance to get stuff for free, hackers will be looking in to it intently.
There’s a LOT of piracy on 360. None on PS3 though.
yeah ive already been on moded/hacked games on TF2 on my xbox 360. poor job though, with Half life, apart from obvious controls such as, the car you drive has just been emulated, and hasnt been assigned controls, its foward on the analogue stick (up key on pc) to go, they didnt even bother with accelerate which couldve been right trigger etc.
im being a hypocrite but here it goes.
EDIT: sorry guys, stay on topic.
Name some of the big exclusives/non-shitty ports the PC is getting.
Hell, even Crysis 2 is on consoles.
Then it’s the end of gaming. No money means no point for developers/publishers to continue putting up millions of dollars just to get them stolen. Thanks you cheap lazy no good cunts!
I have never played a pirated copy of any game… Aside from C&C Red Alert (the original)
I agree, it is, but before the end of gaming PCs will not become dead.
Well, that’s fine, I guess. It was released over 10 years ago.
Actually, I think it’s freeware.
Yeah the problem with it, doesnt it mean that consoles built in say 05, and they demanding alot from them to play newer games, arent they overclocking the system? :retard: just an idea.
Good developers work around hardware limitations. That’s how Kojima made the original Metal Gear for the 8-Bit MSX, now we have the stealth genre!
(For those who have no clue what I’m talking about, watch Kojima’s GDC 2009 Keynote.)
While that is true to an extent, there is a point where even the most skilled dev cannot overcome the limitations.
I would buy it at $30.I’m also digging the Cajun music.
I would want to get grab by charger just for music.
I hope they mix up the charger animations. From the videos I’ve seen, it looks kind of off to just go up-down-up-down.
OH GOD QUICK PUT UP THE ANTI-‘that’s what she said’ SHIELD!
As opposed to what?
What does that have to do with anything? Consoles being a bigger market doesn’t mean PC gaming is dying.
Softback/paperback books sell more copes than hardbacks, and no big books are released exclusively as hardbacks without at least a plan to do a softback version, but that doesn’t mean people are going to stop printing hardback books while they’re still selling in massive numbers. The gaming industry is bigger and richer than the movie industry, and piracy hasn’t managed to kill Hollywood yet, so it won’t manage to kill computer gaming either. Steam is a pretty good example of the health of PC gaming, look at how it constantly expands its library. I can remember when there were only a handful of games available, and most of them were Goldsrc mods.
After Analysing a few video preview’s of Left 4 Dead 2, I have came to a conclusion.
The game, in my opinion, has every right to be a sequel. That does not mean it will be a good sequel, what I have seen seems to suggest otherwise. I am not too happy about the change of atmosphere, in particular the day level’s. There also does not seem to be much in the way of fun gimmicks either.
It seem’s to have enough content to be in a game of it’s own, but if this content will be good is another matter.
And right now, I don’t see any problems with console graphics (except for the Wii. Nintendo needs to grow up. There is such a thing as innovation AND good looks.)
But not innovation, good lucks AND being cheap. You clearly have no idea. The Wii wouldn’t have been half so successful if it cost as much as the more powerful consoles.
And both of the other consoles are trying to emulate the Wii.
That’s what she… said B)
