Last Film You Saw

I am getting conflicting reports on this movie. I heard that [COLOR=’#151515’]Ellen McLain doing a GLaDOS-style voice is actually in the movie as the voice of a computer intelligence while others are saying that’s not the case.

Could I get some confirmation? If it’s the former, I’d be interested in watching the movie. If it’s the latter, enh…

She also did the combine announcer in HL2 and the tram intercom in HL1, so it shouldn’t be too hard to tell.

The voice of the PA in the tram in HL1 was Kathy Levin (who also did the voice for Gina Cross and the HEV suit), not Ellen McLain. I know she did the Combine Overwatch voice, though. I want to know if [COLOR=’#151515’]the GLaDOS style voice is in the movie or just in the trailer.

She’s the voice of the audio readouts in the Gypsy Danger jaeger. Her job is to say shit like “warning, fire in compartment C” and That’s it. She’s barely audible through the movie and her voice is rarely heard.

Okay, thanks.

The Bourne Legacy. It was more of the same as the last three movies. The action was a little toned back from the last one (which seemed like an endless chase scene), thankfully. But it was still the same formula, and it has grown tiring.

Quantum of Solace.

I do not like this movie. The actions scenes were a lot of jumpy, close-up-heavy editing that was very hard to follow, and the plot was so utterly convoluted that I literally got lost reading a summary of it online.

Also, it makes no sense from a technical perspective. In the skydiving scene they spent more time falling in the sinkhole then they do in the sky, and then they activate a one-man chute ten feet above the ground while hugging and walk away completely unharmed. Bond apparently tries to gain altitude in a crippled plane by flying straight up. The hotel has no sprinkler systems at all and is full of so many inexplicable explosive canisters of I don’t even know what that a crash in the garage causes the entire place to go up in flames. What the hell!?

Saw the Conjuring yesterday. Pretty good as far as horror movies go. Follows a pretty similar formula to a lot of other horror movies coming out recently which I don’t mind.

Rewatched The Evil Dead today. The original. Pretty disgusting movie and also pretty cheesy but overall still enjoyable. Will probably watch Pitch Black tomorrow and then TED Part 2.

Yeah I was disappointed she didn’t have more of a role in the actual movie when the trailer made it seem like she might be more of an actual character. I was looking forward to some rogue AI hijiinks. Too bad. Still an awesomely fun movie.

Watched 7 Psychopaths yesterday. Pretty good first half, then it progressively got boring 'til the end.

i watched them middle section of the watch seemed shit

Brick. Very good, very noir-ish, but kinda depressing.

I caught parts of what I think was The fast and the furious: Tokyo Drift because someone else watched it while I was on the couch.

I don’t get it… it’s an entire movie about drifting?

the fast and the furious movies rule man

Anyone want to place bets on Wolverine being good/bad? I’m betting on best movie he has been in yet. Anyone else like to join in?

it will obviously be garbage what are you a moron

Ok, so, disregarding that…I’m thinking it will probably be better than the last Wolverine movie and X3, but I doubt it will be better than X1 or X2.

I feel like it’s gonna be better in its own merits than Origins was, but it’s still gonna be horrible as a Wolverine movie.

You can’t make a PG13 wolverine movie.

World War Z. It was better than I expected. I was afraid that it would be full of ant-behavior zombie scenes, but it seems that they simply shoved all of those scenes (all 3 of them) in the trailer.

The ending was a bit boring and sudden, but I guess it leaves space for a sequel.

Bad part: this night I dreamed my dog pug turned into a zombie and attacked me, I shot him with the last bullet I had and than had to bash his skull in with a crowbar. Sad times :frowning:

I hate sad dreams
