You said they had taken it out of TF2, so I answered accordingly. And who cares? Find a server that does the CTF more often. Sorted. No more bitching required. Or you could make your own map, if it’s that bad.

And yes, L4D is fun, that’s why lots of people play it and have fun. Little clues like that.

I don’t guess you heard the sound track of Left 4 Dead or TF2, because that is part of the Left 4 Dead soundtrack.

What baffles me most is that your entire assumption about L4D2 being ‘TF2 styled’ is pure conjecture based on 5 seconds of audio of which you’re not even correct about.

Sure Episode 3 anouncement would be better, but this is awesome as well.

You know how we are left with the trail of the Borealis, an icebreaker and there was some concept art in Raising the Bar concerning a snow-capped town?

Consider the announcement that in Left 4 Dead 2, the Director AI would have control of the weather, changing the gameplay?

Maybe, just maybe, this is a testbed for the use of such gameplay mechanisms in Ep.3. Having a fog roll in at a critical overwhelming battle to provide an escape would certainly add new and exciting elements to the game.

I enjoy L4D, and with a reasonable discount (25%-50%) to pre-existing owners of L4D, I would definitely consider buying this sequel. I wouldn’t mind waiting a little more for Ep3 if they decide to use this new technology to further enhance the gameplay and make my experience more enjoyable.

Problem with that idea is, that there is no real point in having an A.I. director in a single player game. That’s what normal scripting is for.

Oh, I assumed that. I was mostly referring to the use of the environmental effects. I wouldn’t expect them to use the Director in Ep3.
