So the Half-Life Episodes, which has no new weapons, three new enemies, new environments, and no real replay value, is a more worthy purchase than an additional campaign, 3 new enemies, new weapons, AMMO THAT SETS ZOMBIES ON FIRE, Survival mode out of the box, a brand new mode, new environments, and an enhanced AI Director that adds tons of replay value?
Granted, the Half-Life Episodes don’t cost $50 each. But again, THE GAME NOW HAS AMMO THAT SETS ZOMBIES ON FIRE!!!
I think it’s because L4D isn’t as popular as HL, but mainly that people like to bitch.

something just hit me. the savannah campaign. with the thing with the infection not hitting, it might hit righ after the first level starts. so you might se npc’s running and shooting after infected and getting mowed down. i sense awesomeness
half life is classified as a adventure game , l4d as a something-to-do-when-outside-is-raining , if i were to buy the hlep3 i 'd do it for the freggin story not for setting things on fire , also , in half life 2 if you take gas pipes and throw them at zombies , they catch fire , nice no?

I was speaking in terms of sequels. While the Episodes add some new enemies and environments (and slightly better looking graphics) to Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2 adds new environments, a new mode, a 5th campaign, 3 new enemies, new weapons, an, my personal favorite, AMMO THAT SETS ZOMBIES ON FIRE!!!
I’m not saying the Episodes aren’t awesome, I’m just saying that they add little to the overall Half-Life 2 package besides story progression and technology.
But again, the Episodes are awesome, especially Episode 2.
Also, Half-Life is an adventure game? lol. Where’s all the ponitless side-quest and rupees?

well, if you got it as a Gift that’s understandable. Otherwise, theres not much point in purchasing the first right now when the superior sequel is due in less than 5 months.
