Is the real military capable of killing scientists for a government cover-up?

wheres your research, then.

The US is in more debt and oil is more expensive since 2001. Just saying.

Okay…

While the world trade centre was thought to be one of the most structurally stable buildings. This was due to the design using the strength of the core to support the weight, and the walls to support lateral forces (wind loading). The two were connected by steel trusses. When steel is exposed to heat, it becomes very soft, as I’m sure you know. Concrete is traditionally used to clad steel to make it fireproof, but in the case of the world trade centre drywall was used to save on weight. Upon the impact of the plane, the drywall shattered, exposing the core to heat

All well and good so far, the building could have stood up fine with the impact damage. It was designed to withstand a hit from a Boeing 707, which was the largest airliner at the time of design, so the size of the plane wasn’t an issue.

What was an issue is that in the design the fuel payload of the aircraft wasn’t accounted for. When specifying materials for a building, fire resistance is one of the 7 considerations, and the specification includes anything flammable that is kept in the building (paper, carpets, whatever), but unfortunately didn’t include a few tons of jet fuel. The core was exposed to this heat, due to the shattered drywall, and the trusses between the walls and core began to sag and fail. As they came away, they collapsed onto those below, beginning what is known as a progressive collapse, where each floor collapses onto the one below. The ‘explosives’ that people see are evidence of the trusses being pulled away from the outside wall

I was told this in ‘some class’ by Dr Hamill, head of civil engineering at my university in a lecture about bad management leading to catastrophic failure, and in a materials lecture. My university has no interest in covering ‘the man’s ass’, because for a start I’m in the UK, and secondly the world trade centre has lead to the redesign of all skyscrapers (such as the Gherkin in London, and the Burj Dubai)

Chevron (oil), ConocoPhilips (oil) Haliburton (energy company with a mercenary arm), Xe services (Blackwater, mercenaries) have all made record profits since old W decided to go after sadam when the 911 bombers had an obvious base in Afghanistan. Haliburton was run by dick cheney right before he took the Veep job. Just sayin

Therefore it makes perfect sense that Cheney would stage a terrorist attack based in Afghanistan. To obtain an excuse to attack Saddam. Perfect sense.

The thing is, it doesn’t require a conspiracy for mercenary contractors see record profits in wartime and oil companies to see record profits when oil is at a record high price related to speculation and constricted supply.

I never said anything about cheney staging a terrorist attack, you and the other guy did. I was just pointing out that bush and cheney, after ignoring warnings from american intelligence about “Bin-Laden determined to attack in the united states” proceeded to shift huge amounts of U.S. capitol to private american mercenary and logistics companies, (some of them cheney used to run) in a series of secret no-bid contracts that were hidden away in a supplementary war spending bill that was secret due to its “defense” nature so it was unavailable from a FOI request and was off the american budget books. As free market economics are a fundamental base of modern republican party doctrine, i find it impossible that the economic impact of the war and its effect on oil prices world wide was not taken into consideration before the invasion. And, actually, there was a large group of people in the bush government that advocated an invasion of iraq before we had any proof that it was Al-Qaeda that orchestrated 911( i mean ON 09-11-01) The most prominent was Paul Wolfowitz. Even after routing the Taliban and with bin laden still hiding, bush invaded a large oil producer. Far, but not too far from Afghanistan, putting far more resources and money into the invasion of iraq than was ever spent going after the guy who plotted 911.
Just sayin
Now, this was not meant to be some ATS style conspiracy rant but governments are shady and the american govt has in the past, let americans die to further their goals, like when they cracked the japanese naval cypher in 1941 and did little to defend or even warn pearl harbor of an imminent attack. One of the first things out of cheney’s mouth on 911 was to exclaim “we are at war, this was pearl harbor”

None of your wall-of-text is news to me. Junior Bush said he was planning to invade Iraq if he ever became president in 1997. But the section of your essay that I have quoted here brings me back to my original point, which is that “the American government” is in a significantly worse position than it was before 2001, by any rational measure.

I agree with your point but stick with both of mine, which are that people did profit from 911, including the the company the veep ran and that the us govt is shady and would do their best to cover up a catastrophic tear in space-time that was caused in a secret us facility at the cost of american lives

Yes I believe a real life military could kill an entire research facility worth of scientists because

  1. We did this same shit with Pablo Escobar in Colombia, the Contras in Nicaruga and Mogadishu (although yes the stories have been leaked out).
  2. Since the exact location of the Black Mesa Research Facility is unknown, the gov’t could just say the nuke was a test by Black Mesa and that the location of the BMRF was a couple miles away.
  3. When somebody gets recruited to the Navy SEALS, a letter is sent to next of kin informing the recruitment. For years jack shit is told about the recruit besides the fact that they’re in the Navy SEALS. In the same fashion the gov’t could say that the sci’s worked for the BMRF and nothing else even their location.

And you should really start a thread in the Massdebating hall if you want to debate non-existent 9/11 conspiracies.

Except all those people were BAAAAAAAAAAD and deserved it, not to mention that the whole Somalia shitfight was very public.

ALSOOOOO: 9/11 conspiracies are shit. The Government got nothing out of it, and they don’t really need an excuse to invade an oil rich nation. If they wanted to, they could just send a private army in.

oic wut u did thar! :stuck_out_tongue:

wat did he do thar?

he did this thar

I saw some really small penises.

But it is shit anyway

Stop posting it.

Good point. People will attempt to eradicate an entire ants nest and kill thousands, if not tens of thousands of ants, without batting an eye. And yet people get emotional over the killing of a small dog. I’m not justifying either, but it’s just interesting that people care about one and not the other, just because one is a mammal and has eyes and makes noises.

Lol, major money? Last time i checked, the US is in a major recession

We are now way off topic.

Is the real military capable of killing scientists for a government cover-up?

yes, they are capable.
