Hey! I knew of the list too…
So did I, actually.
As his location says so.
:3
My boss made me order three of these today for the office.
I have ZERO idea how the fuck I’m gonna make them useful.
I admit, in general, I find the niche for a device like this limited, but this thing isn’t going to run anything I want it to, and now I’ll have three sitting around. The cost of the damned things are going to be asked about, and I don’t know how I’m going to justify it at all to the people who got skipped over for a raise on their $12/hour job. This is almost as bad when he made me order 3 nintendo DSi’s in. I think he ended up re-selling them.
sigh
I guess I’ll put one in the boardroom, and hope it can be used in presentations…somehow.
The other two I guess I’ll give it to the advertising guys. Though we already bought them over the top expensive macs this year, which I’ve never seen them use.
Fuck you Steve Jobs. You prey on the weak minded and make Mac ownership difficult to justify in serious conversation.
Steal one, sell it on ebay, and tell your boss it never showed up. I’m sure you could get some choice coin/a mactard’s virginity for it.
It’s like an iPhone that swallowed a laptop.
and I personally love bad puns.
he he iPAD

The real question is, why is your avatar a green cartoon penis with teeth? :fffuuu:
…
This looks rather intriguing, might have to scope one out when I’m in the US in May/June…
I don’t know how I feel about this. On one hand, you can treat it like a book and such and a dedicated screen for keyboard seems nice. On the other hand, I like resting my hands on the keys, instead of right over top, so I think I’d have issues typing with this.
integrate the worst parts of laptops and phones and sell it!!!
I’d say the product they’re putting forth is irrelevant for the market they’re aiming at; a tablet is not a netbook. Even if it’s a hideously non-feature-rich tablet. It’s not a netbook.
I remember when the first EEE PC 700 came out, it was stylish, had a good battery life for an x86-based computer, was cheap and was actually useful.
Now that I think of it, I would far rather a cheap and cheerful EEE PC than an iPad since I would be able to do anything I need to keep myself entertained on a long journey, plus the screen would actually be visible(read: gloss).
Sorry if this is completely bonkers or something, no sleep is fun, especially when trying to speak about computers.
Hahahaha oh wow.
Good show apple, have fun trying to climb back up that mountain all over again.

And still, Apple will make millions on this.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the one apple product that didn’t have crazy amounts of sales. I think even the common user can see that this is garbage.
I was kind of excited for this, but the way it turned out, I’m really disappointed. If it ran OSX, had multitasking, a camera, and good for note taking or something, I’d have forked out for one. But this is a useless piece of equipment. At best it’s an overpriced media player.
