iPad

Even if I was shitting money I’d rather buy an archos 9 TBH

$549.99

Might want to get that looked at.

XD Something tells me you don’t want to tell the police about that.

Oh, and if not for my pacifist, ethical nature, I’d be on an extremist-style quest to destroy every single one in existence (except for one or two, for museums).

If you ever change your mind I will happily aid you on your quest.

LOUD CLAP!

Your back in the room.

I might actually grab a 16GB WiFi + 3G. The plans in Australia aren’t that bad, especially the $80 for 8GB that lasts for 6 months. Works out to be $13.33 a month, or $6.66 a pay. If the net ever goes down at home or if I take it somewhere on holidays or w/e it’d be damn handy!

The iPad isn’t a replacement for a real computer, and anyone who thinks it should be has no idea how things work. It’s meant to be more portable than a netbook and it’s meant to be able to browse the web and do basic web stuff comfortably, since most people use their netbook for that anyway, however, netbooks are too slow to run a proper operating system, which makes them quite lame computers, unless you get a netbook with a good processor, in which case you might as well just get a normal laptop! It’s not for everyone.

It’s a big iPod Touch basically, but with the iPod Touch, browsing the web for more than a couple of minutes is annoying, since it’s a small device.

Such a device would be unable to run proper applications such as Photoshop and traditional apps you run all the time, not only because the processor isn’t suited for that, but also because it uses a touchscreen, which requires a completely different way of interaction, which is incompatible with most applications. Therefore, it has its own, special applications that are suited specifically for the iPad and its touchscreen. If it had OS X or Windows on it, you wouldn’t even be able to scroll since the scroll bar would be too small for your fingers to touch it properly. This is why it has to have different software.

I totally see what kind of people the iPad is made for, and I think it makes a lot of sense, which is why they have sold more than a million so quickly.

Anyone who thinks that it should run a full OS or that it should have Half-Life 2 or Photoshop knows nothing about technology.

If you think it’s too expensive, try using any other tablet device on the market for a couple of days and you’ll start understanding.

Oh, and no one said YOU have to buy it, it’s aimed at a large group of people who will happily buy it and use it, while other will stick with other solutions. Which is also the case with every product in the world.

I don’t own one, but I know what it’s good for.

In Montreal I’d be able to get a 3G iPad 8gb for 30$ every month

rogers wireless can put any price because they are the only distributor

If I can’t watch Youtube on it then it’s a paperweight

Brings a smile to my face

Oh and not to mention:

Why people would buy a device for 500 bucks and then destroy it is beyond me.
Oh, wait, not really.
Americunts, dumbfuckistan. Now it comes together.
