iPad

because it’s the latest version of Windows? Why the hell would I want to use a 2001 OS now?
If a Netbook can’t power WIndows 7 sufficiently then it is useless crap. Windows 7 is the OS I know and love and actually want to use.

FYI it runs windows 7 perfectly and most new netbooks come with it.

What else would you put on a netbook? XP is an aging bloated whore.

Windows 7 ran no slower on my old $300 Acer netbook sporting a 1.3ghz Atom, 1gb RAM and an old iPod hard drive than 7 runs on my gaming desktop. Vista even ran fine on the netbook. I loved that netbook, too bad the whole thing fried.

Windows 7 runs on pretty much any computer built in the past 5 years. You’re only fooling yourself to say otherwise.

Netbooks that were shipped before Win7 were barely powerful enough to handle XP, so I don’t know why you’d want to use a more power-hungry OS and expect awesome performance. And your opinion is a little close-minded, because they actually do handle Win7 “sufficiently” in the sense that you can still do the basic tasks netbooks were designed for. But since speed seems to be your primary criteria when it comes to usefulness, there are Linux-based operating systems available for netbooks that work very well.

[EDIT]

There are Linux distros specifically designed for netbooks.

[EDIT2]

And I’m not bashing Windows 7, nor discouraging its use on netbooks. I’ve installed the beta releases on my Eee and haven’t had any major performance issues with it. I’m just saying that if you’re an impatient whore, don’t call the hardware worthless, because it’s not. Instead of whining, use a different operating system.

Here’s a replacement for the iPhone.

Only with a touchscreen.

Might as well tape a phone to the back of your iPod Touch…

It’s cheaper.

Oh, forgot to give it a name. iStone.

The only awesome thing Apple made was the iPod, everything else is just crap, and the iPad turned Apple into shit.

The iPhone is pretty damn neato!

Damnit i forgot the iPhone/iPod Touch :retard:

On a Macbook Pro at the moment; it is the shit.

I’ve had a macbook pro for a week and all I wanted to do was smash it to bits, damn boring apple design.

But hasn’t the unibody already caused your eyeballs to explode in unrelenting glorious euphoria?

cough

I like the aluminum body precisely for its simplicity; all the plastic chassis I’ve had over the years have fallen apart, the latest being an Asus which had the hinge rip out of the case, taking half the screen with it. Plus, it looks nice  .

bscly

Macfag needs to leave now

holy fucking necropost batman

I’m heading to the US on the 22nd of May for 5 weeks, landing in San Fran. Pretty tempted to head to the Apple Store and pick up a 16GB WiFi, maybe 32GB depending on how much I save for the trip.

Been umming and arring the past few weeks but pretty set on getting one now. I’ve always loved PCs but never liked laptops. I’ve had an iPhone 3G for almost 2 years now and love it, so I’m pretty confident the iPad will be perfect for me. I already have a beast of a computer that I can tweak and play around with to my hearts content, so I don’t really care if the iPad is locked down.

Thing is, apple have the benefit of the doubt that gormless twats will buy there product, the average teenager with a bit of cash kind of thing, fucking wasters…

NO offence Jambo

That’s the thing though. Senseless teenagers will buy anything, and pay almost any price. Half of them probably have no real reason to buy it, simple because it’s out.

Then there are the people like Jambo who can, by the sound of it, afford alot of things. The gadgets themselves aren’t really the issue, it’s the ridiculous price.
